Fascinating point the clergy abuse psychologist makes, that many clergy begin their careers in the church in their early teens and so have their psycho-sexual development stopped in it's tracks, and then feel that children are their sexual peers later in life.

There was a documentary on Frontline (PBS) called Hand of God, which was a similar to story to this. It was regarding Fr Joseph Birmingham and an apparently similar method of protection for pedophillic priests, regardless of the lives they destroy.
