Ah yes! Cracked.com. That stalwart bastion of Natural History information and knowledge. I'm glad they are finally taking their rightful place as Sifters goto guys in this dept over BBC and Nat Geo.

M'eh - deer are voracious. A pack of deer in an area will strip it bare, and they'll eat anything they can wrap their pieholes around. When it is convenient they'll eat animals, bugs - whatever. It's just that in most cases it is much safer and more convenient to graze on plants so that's what they do most of the time.

Friend of mine has had his cedar shrubs decimated to a height of about 4'. He doesn't believe me it's deer. He's completely correct that cedar is mildly poisonous, but that doesn't stop them. Told him to spray cougar urine around.

He got his mom to piss in the grass. Don't know why.
