The bystanders are working with him and as he approached the camera before the big trick they handed him the little one out of the shot. He should have chosen a day where there might be a valid reason for the chick to be carrying an umbrella. It's pretty bright and sunny!

I just watched this again - the crazy guy at the end is a nice touch.

oooo...I'm a sucker for street magic, too. I couldn't figure it out until lucky pointed out the last switch. Very nicely done. It's a clever illusion.

Any time someone needs to do the "passing back and forth" bit, just take it for granted he is grabbing a new ubmrella. Just like the moving camera in that earlier clip about the "paper manhole cover".

more 'camera' magic. It works for the camera POV, but anyone on the street can tell. Like Blane's ability to float which only looks good from straight on.

watching it again, i think what happens is someone stage right is moving the little umbrella up in front of the camera, and the guy never actually swings the umbrella above the camera horizon. Then he steps forward and grabs the little umbrella out of some dudes hand.

Tell if at 0:18 you can't see the little umbrella in the folded-arms dude's back pocket?

My kids liked it. My 7 year old boy loves to figure these things out.
