Britain's Got Talent - 10 Year Old Kid Breaks Down

10 year old singer Holly Steele breaks down in the live semi-final last night when the nerves get to her. While watching it last night with my mate and a couple of bottles of red, I have to admit i was laughing quite hard, especially when they told her she didn't have time to do it again. But obviously at the same time it was awful and I think everyone felt for her. It really begs the question, are these talent contests just way too much for little kids like her to deal with?

Note the lead in footage cut for those with nano-second attention spans.

I think what's funny is that Ant and Dec suggested she had nerves of steel and then we witness an onstage breakdown and then what looked like disappointment mixed with the start of a mini-tantrum.

Nothing against her but these shows indulge these kids with their fucked up parents and collective delusional fantasies. As someone else said about BGT you ordinarily wouldn't pay any kind of money to see this kind of end of the pier entertainment but you call it a contest, stick it on ITV and suddenly they can get thousands of crazies texting in and buying DVDs.

Watching the final right now for the first time and it's dreadful. They've managed to make another kid cry. Doesn't help that I detest Piers Moron.

this is *terrible
its hard to watch this 10 year old girl cry and tear and pout, the inevitable conclusion of forcing a child to cope with situations an undeveloped brain is left completely vulnerable to

Please,is there a sage somewhere to help me understand where the hell we are going? This is wrong on SO many levels, and for SO many reasons, that i am at a loss anymore to comprehend our degeneration. It seems to me that the abyss is just around the corner.

the only reason i watch TV is voyeuristic, projectionist pleasure.

there's enough humanity to balance out this clip.

torn between such a small indulgence and possibly driving the girl mental... i dunno, it seems like it would have been one of the opportunities to grow.. or she may have had the "if only" attitude her whole life.

Oh, little white girls.

I will never see anything funny about children crying.

hmmm...I never thought I could be that opposite of somebody.

Except Rottonseed.

I would laugh very much when "it" cries.

NOT FAIR to factor in the...whatever they're called.
