Epic Counter-Strike Ninja Defuse

So Ninja

Funny, but I call fake on this one , Its ridiculous that what seems to be 3 otherwise routined CS players would walk past that crate (which is roughly in the middle of the map, ie, THE meeting area) without noticing the dude there. also at 0.51 in the video, he is clearly in view of the bomb-planting T.

lalalalalalalalalalalalalal! I'm not listening.

Thanks for sucking all the joy i got from that video out of it for me. I wouldn't be able to tell one way or another if this is fake(as im not that skilled at CS) . I'm going to choose to think it's not fake for my selfish enjoyment.

It's totally possible. I've played a few FPS games at top level, and you'd be surprised how simple things like checking corners can drop out of a person's mind when they're so focused on trying to do everything else perfectly. All it takes is one guy to forget to corner check (like with the first guy on here), and then all the other guys think he's checked and that it's safe. Sometimes that kinda thing can be so basic and risky that no one believes that you'd have the audacity to try it against top players.

Like with sticky traps on TF2 - sometimes even the top clans will lose 6 players to that just because 1 soldier didn't check the doorway, and everyone is embarrassed and feels stupid, but it just takes a momentary lapse.

Unlikely no one would look behind them, but i imagine it's happened plenty of times in all the matches played.

Well, i suppose it could be legit, with a bazillion CS-matches every second, I suppose stranger things could happen.

Can happen, not very likely but tunnel vision takes over on even the most experienced players. And because it is so unlikely, no one counts that as a possibility. There are some odd things here like why not use the shorter route, planning to ninja as those usually happen by mistake and also going out from cover and retreating back just in time, rest of the team going to the left side, lots of coincidences.. But it can definitely happen like that.. Too much focus on mission, you forget to check one corner, you see a mate ahead you think that he has done that etc.

There are countless times when you can just stroll around even bumbing to enemies and no one notices; "i'm in a group of mates, why would there be an enemy that is not shooting" and it goes unnoticed. In games that allow prone it happens even more often, then it's your duty to jihad that place, just pull the pin on all the nades you got..

I'm calling fake, unless CS:GO is FOV locked at 65 or something, Last time I played CS, most players used a FOV of 100-110 and wouldn't even need to turn to see the guy hiding behind those crates.

There's also the expectation that if your teammate just walked by an opposing player, the opposing player would have engaged. No shots = no enemy, right?

exactly this, it was really just that the first guy didn't see him that set up the whole move.
