I imagine that depending on the brand of battery they use different internal cells. This way uses 4 * large 1.5V cells while the other used 32 * small 1.5V cells in a 4 configuration

I tried this myself, and I too got the 4 large cells as in this video.

But it's all about the brand — somewhere out there must still be lurking the legendary AA-cell lantern battery.

I wouldn't count on it...just for the simple fact that the video came from "gagfilms.com". Seems pretty apparent the video was what it stated from the start...a gag.

BTW...Walgreens sells a 6V that looks almost identical to the one in the original video except that it has the Walgreens logo printed at the top. Just in case someone really thinks it needs to be the same one used in the video...here you go.

I would be curious to see this performed with a similar brand to the original video, though. Don't have a Wallgreens near me, unfortunately.
