RFlaggsays...*promote the beauty of people being in awe of seeing something so simple as the moon through a telescope. Perhaps people like me who have a telescope (though I can only dream of having one that nice) are spoiled. The universe is an amazingly beautiful place, it's nice he was able to help share even a simple bit of it with random people.
siftbotsays...Promoting this video and sending it back into the queue for one more try; last queued Friday, March 16th, 2018 4:03am PDT - promote requested by RFlagg.
Fantomassays...It looks like he's pushing around an evil R2-D2.
b4rringt0nsays...Lovely video and message. Especially the relevant use of *music by Debussy, Claire de Lune.
siftbotsays...Invocations (music) cannot be called by b4rringt0n because b4rringt0n is not privileged - sorry.
shinyblurrysays...Psalm 19:1-4
The heavens declare the glory of God;
And the firmament shows His handiwork.

Day unto day utters speech,
And night unto night reveals knowledge.

There is no speech nor language
Where their voice is not heard.

Their line has gone out through all the earth,
And their words to the end of the world.
deathcowsays...I miss this... used to bring out my scope to gatherings. I have made people cry looking at Saturn in particular through a nice scope.
blacklotus90says...I had this experience up in Burlington, VT once - a bunch of home hobbyist astronomers had set up their telescopes on the street and were inviting people to take a look at astronomical bodies (moon included). The feeling of being able to see that level of detail with your own eyes is indescribable and it definitely reignited a sense of awe and wonder at space. Loads of towns around the world have similar groups that do public viewings - highly recommend it if you ever have a chance.
surfingytsays...looking into telescopes is a lot of fun
