My dad built one of these years ago for my grandparents to enjoy. He dubbed it the Squirrel-O-Whirl.

I'm pretty sure I'd starve if I had to grab my food while swinging from a contraption like that. Props to the squirrel.

I wonder if a generator tied to that would keep a cam battery charged, that would make for some green entertainment. Not free energy, since you would presumably need to keep stocking it with feed, but maybe not. Squirrels do engage in play.

I'd love to see what happens when another food source is added to the opposite end of the stick. Squirrel powered near-perpetual motion machine perhaps?
