I wonder if a generator tied to that would keep a cam battery charged, that would make for some green entertainment. Not free energy, since you would presumably need to keep stocking it with feed, but maybe not. Squirrels do engage in play.

I'd love to see what happens when another food source is added to the opposite end of the stick. Squirrel powered near-perpetual motion machine perhaps?
