BoneRemakesays...Obviously the #1 re-use option would be a Gravity bong or a Water bong, Surprised they did not show that one.
arvanasays...Not to nitpick, but the 3R's are reduce, reuse, recycle -- all of these ideas fall under the reuse banner. It also seems strange to me to be doing something environmentally friendly and yet be so into killing bugs and weeds and using weed killer... Almost downvoted, but some of the other ideas are pretty cool, so a neutral vote from me.

I'd say this does qualify as recycling. I thing "reuse" would be more like refilling the bottles with soda and selling them again. And even if you do call this "reuse", that's not really a bad thing. Generally, reusing is better than recycling as there is often no energy needed to simply reuse something.
But yeah, I get what you mean about the weeds and bugs.... I'm hoping he meant for the bug catcher to be used indoors at least.
ravermansays...Tried the insect catcher, didn't work. Researched other variations on the web similar to this. Also didn't work.
Just ended up with cut up plastic crap all over the yard.
pho3n1xsays...this was definitely under 're-use' as that definition includes re-purposing. the toilet tank idea is pretty good and probably better than bending the rod that holds the air bladder.
the planter thing is kind of cool too. kind of retro-DIY...

the insect catcher seems very smart. I have seen those for sale of a similar design.
robbersdog49says...Eco bug killing and use of weedkiller. Doesn't sound very 'on message' to me. No vote due to these idiotic non-green uses.
