gymnastics is fucking boring. ( mostly due to the stuffy nature of the competition ) , most of my anger is from having to watch hours and hours of it.

But as a way to keep fit and healthy in old age really good and its really nice that presumably this is something she enjoys and for old people to have something social and healthy to do is always good.

Just think as well by maintaing allot of the basic gymnastic skills of tumbling how less likely an older person would be to brake a hip or fall over in the first place. If they do fall over then they will know how to fall in a way that does less damage.

I really hope I don't have a fucked up body when i get older , or if i do IT and VR have got to the piont that its not an issue.

what's interesting with this is that the drawing is a 2D description / recording of the secular rotation of specific disk radii.

I wonder if you used specific multiple joints and arms and disks you could have the end result be a face or some recognisable specific drawing.

in some ways this seems like you could store allot of data in a physically smaller space , it seems analogousness to fractal math with the arms acting as an execution / multiplier on the initial maths of the disks , though it gets to a point of repetition reasonably fast so maybe its just a magnification. Maybe fractals are simply a magnification and get to a point a of repetition its just the case that that point is so large we don't see it ( though the way I understand it fractals are infinite)

Aside from other obvious aspects of it the most telling thing is that no person would fly that high without safety equipment especially with this kind of device.

other obvious points

1) the body language of the people walking away is really ridged

2) the volume decreases specifcaly so you can hear what the guy says its likely they redubed the sound over the top of the video. ( yet used crap quality film cameras)

3) wings are to small to provide life at such a low forwards momentum and flapping would simply detract from the lift provided.

4) if it was windy enoughf for lift then the guy would start to get lift before he moved ( you will see when birds go to fly if its a windy day extending there wings is prity much all it takes for them to begin flying.

5) you can see that the way he bobs up and down dosent look right at all

6) If you were doing this for real you would film it all with HD camaras and probably get sponsorship from a company to pay for it all.

7) the method of control would be too inprocise even if you went for automated flapping you would use some linear input for the pilot as a human does not have an intuitive sense for how arms should be flapped and then the whole system to translate that would be needlessly complex.

prevouse videos they have made all seem to have stiff acting , sound of the robotics added on top of the video and composited CGI.

because its a totally waist of time and effort sending humans to planets that are shit for human existence.

Robots are the only thing that should be sent to mars and the moon , it would be far more efficient and cost affective to do that than to send people.

It would make more sense for people to try and colonise the earth sea floor as this is likely going to be far more sustainable and practical if there was a cataclysmic event and the development of that over 60-200 years would develop the technology to allow future space travel.

Until we have some sort of technology to move through space faster than the speed of light which obviously is unlikely then I don't see any point in colonising other planets with anything other than a robotic presence.

I do however think manned orbital space travel is something we have to develop right away and make possible right away for most people. We could also use it to send twats up into space and let them see how pathetic they are and how small earth and they are in the vast scheme of things with any luck that might make the world a more peaceful place to live in.
