sniff'n the tears-drivers seat-vintage 70's classic rock
This is one of my all-time favorite songs, seriously. I have the full-length on vinyl and play it pretty regularly at a weekly "Bring Your Own Vinyl Night" I host at my neighborhood bar.
I'm Straight - Jonathan Richman & Modern Lovers
I came across this a few months back... great fan video.
Although I'm pretty there's no reason for the "gay" tag. The "I'm straight" lyrics in the song deal with the fact that Richman isn't a stoner. "Straight" was a term (at the time) that meant "clean" or "sober."
I WALK THE LINE-johnny cash cover performed by LIVE
These guys are from Pennsylvania. But you can still call 'em grunge, I guess!
Sausage and Egg Pizza
I've never seen the "sunny side up" version that's in this video, but "Breakfast Pizza" with scrambled eggs is fairly popular here in upstate NY.
Darth Vader Hot Air Balloon
I used to work just a mile or so from the mesa where this takes place... in an industrial park that also housed a General Mills cereal factory. You could walk outside, see all the balloons floating by, while the scent of Alpha-Bits filled the air. 'Twas magical!
Ricky Schroeder and Alfonso breakdancing on Silver Spoons
Don't forget "Alfonso's Breakin' Board," a preprinted piece of corrugated cardboard that he hawked via TV ads around the same time.

Out of This World!
I would love to see the unedited version of this.
Is it just me, or does the nervous newbie look a little like a young Kevin Tighe?
Groovy Dancing Girl
So when the lights go out... is that her getting out of range of the driveway's motion-sensing light?
fatlip - what's up fatlip?
Not only is this song (and video) great, but the entire "mini documentary" that accompanies it is priceless — you can get the whole shebang (as well as a crapload of Spike Jonze other fan-fucking-tastic videos) on the DVD "The Work of Director Spike Jonze."
End plug!
