When I first bought the Extras season 1 DVD I thought the funniest stuff was the dvd out-takes, because of his laughing.
Some brilliant editor is going to recognize the humor in Gervais' laugh and figure out how to make this meta-show that includes the funny out-takes in the plot.
Mr. Show did this a few times, where they broke character and pointed out that they flubbed or that the audience did something silly.


Check out his radio/podcast shows. It's basically him laughing for an hour.

Seems to be something in modern stand-up, anyway. It always starts with some lame jokes about the city they are performing in, followed by either made-up generic family anecdotes or observational humor.

But then again, Seinfeld is mostly remembered for doing airline food jokes, right? So it must work.

It's a viral. And I somehow doubt those autocue things are connected in any way that allows 'hacking' like this. Or that the editing software would look the same as the display thing.

It's still better than the Black Eyed Peas.
