Photorealistic pencil drawing of a watch: A time-lapse video

cobalt says...

Maybe if you looked at it from a different point of view. You are still thinking along lines of tradition creative arts. I look at it as a design work (being a designer helps with that I suppose), in which case the techincal aspect of it is more impressive than even the finished product. Seeing the method in this manner is more interesting than having a photorealistic render of a watch.

Have any of those 15-year-old friends of yours made videos demonstrating their techinque? Probably not. This is a video site not art appreciation. Number 2 on the top 15 list at the moment is "Hollow Point Bullet Through Gelatine" that has been done many times before but that video is the one that is popular.

I don't think they are hurting anyone, but they have that same religious attitude that I should respect them for some reason. What have they done to deserve my respect? Whine about how hard life is for them? Give me a break. If furries weren't so vocal they wouldn't have this trouble in the first place. I guess they all come from the same demograph that led to emo, so go figure.

Did they have to act like a frikken hivemind when they were in a group? It was slightly creepy.

And to the guy who kept talking about "can't": no one said you can't, they just said you look like a douche.

I can't upvote this due to the bit about the cause of the big bang. The cause is still widely unknown and the idea that two objects collide directly disagrees with the whole concept in the first place. The spiral shapes of galaxies are due to the gravitational differential between the centre and outer edge of spinning galaxies, combined with its effect on stella formation.

Jump in, the waters great!

cobalt says...

Well maybe there is evidence that there was once a cave. Maybe it is very strong evidence. Maybe it is still there in some form but the water levels changed or the was a rockslide that cut it off. You make as much(if not more) conjecture in your assumptions about what scientist do or do not know than you have any right to make while complaining about it.

Seems you may be confusing the whole "theory" issue.

Sir David Attenborough on God

cobalt says...

I associate a lot more with Attenborough than Dawkins on these issues. He is far less confrontational and argues from a positive support of evolution rather than Dawkin's negative anti-religious stance.
