OK. So the 'wires' are called axons, and when a neuron recieves an electrical impulse it transmits neurotransmitter chemicals across a synapse to receptors in another neuron?

Is the synapse the area between two neurons?

Are all neurons chemically connected, or do some have direct electrical connections via an axon?

One suggestion: Some of the flash ads can cause performance problems when viewing the site on slower computers, for example at work. I.E. video does not play properly because flash ad is hogging the CPU. To encourage people to disable ad blockers it might be worth adding a profile option to disable flash ads, might increase impressions and/or clicks.

I really need my ears sorting - it is making me kinda deaf - but the doctors won't do it because I have had a perforated ear drum. The ridulous thing is that the ear I really need doing is the other ear, but they still wont.

Am I the only one who uses keyboard shortcuts in preference to any other interface?

I work away furiously as a developer and systems admin all day and I rarely use the desktop in the way that it was intended.

If I need to launch an app, focus a window or chop some text then it's the keyboard I'm going to use. It's just so efficient.

I'm not suggesting this is for everyone... my boss doesn't get on with his keyboard too well, he much prefers his mouse. But for power users?

Another interface I really like is the Linux shell. Again not for all tasks, but for systems admin type work its super efficient and hugely powerful.

In summary, the desktop's just there to look pretty. That's why we have backgrounds. The real interface has always been the keyboard.

The blades look fine while they're spinning but once they stop it looks like one nearly tore apart, wouldn't have wanted to be so close when that happened.

For me the embedded video cuts off after 2 minutes and you have to visit the website to watch the remainder.
