Car Parks on Pedestrian Crossing. Pedestrian Gets Revenge
Yeah, I'm calling the pedestrian a dick. The driver likely decided at the last second to play it safe by not going through the intersection on a stale amber and so wound up in the crosswalk. Every driver has had that happen to them at some point.
Along comes a douchebag who takes it upon himself to be an asshole. The proof is that he then goes after the white car who is what? a couple of feet into a very wide crossing.
If karma exists this asshat will get mowed down by a driver while jaywalking.
Our Cat versus Owl Moment
Don't be too sure. I once saw a mature bald eagle chased off by a cat. The eagle was low in a tree and suddenly this cat charged it from a nearby brush, hissing, back up and claws swinging. The eagle took off in complete panic.
Pound for pound few animals can match a cat for sheer ferocity. There are youtube vids of them taking on alligators, cobras, bears... There are even some vids of cats stalking hawks and even though the hawks down bluff easily, they are almost always the ones to exit first.
Pretty sure the owl would win that fight..
How to be Ultra Spiritual
At the urging of a friend, I went on a Burning Man-related event... everyone there talked like this.

3/Three Ways Parents are Ruining Halloween
Re: the too scary thing... I CAN see that. Yesterday I was at a post-Halloween sale. The store featured numerous high-end animatronic displays of some pretty grisly stuff. One mom was walking around with her little guy... maybe 5, 6. He was staring intently at the displays and from his face he seemed pretty upset. I think he understood they were machines, but the IDEA of them was probably freaking him out.

The Daily Show - Bill O'Reilly Interview on White Privilege
I've got this rule... I don't argue with the stupid or the obtuse.
You win.
Moving on...
@MichaelL
i agree that most would understand your point, including myself.
i was merely pointing out that your argument has little or nothing to do with white privilege and after reading your response,i am forced to come to the conclusion you do not know what white privilege actually is.
so your conflation of racism and racial bias to white privilege is not uncommon but rather the norm.
Badass Citizen Pulls Over Cop To Issue Him A Warning
No cops aren't above the law... that's why I anxiously await the next in this series of videos:

1. Badass citizen confronts cop caught jaywalking.
2. Badass citizen dresses down cop for littering.
Was he a cop breaking the law. Yes. Was the videographer in the right to stop him? Yes.
It sounds like you think cops are above the law, and should never be taken to task for non egregious violations.
Badass Citizen Pulls Over Cop To Issue Him A Warning
He repeated the same point repeatedly in the most patronizing way possible.
Was the cop legally in the wrong? Probably. Likely.
Is this an example of a 'cop-gone-bad'? No.
Is this the worst example of abuse that we've seen from a cop? Hardly.
Our 'intrepid' videographer picked the lowest fruit possible in a pretty obvious attempt to make a mountain out of a molehill.
Wanna impress me with your sense of civic responsibility? Next time you see a cop pounding some homeless guy's head into the pavement in a rage, go up to HIM and shove a camera in his face.
This is a little kid trying to play grown-up.
I disagree completely. He was pretty patient with the cop as well, and calmly informed him he may be arrested if he keeps doing what he's been told to do. He did not get agitated or insulting, how is that 'trying to get a rise from the cop'? He was trying to help the cop stay out of jail, and clearly explained both the law and the reasoning behind it for the cop's benefit.
The Daily Show - Bill O'Reilly Interview on White Privilege
The inequities of white privilege perpetuated via historical and cultural oppression are required to be corrected via political/legal means.
Hand-in-hand with that is the concept that white people today must also be made to feel guilty for these historical wrongdoings.
I think most people would get my point...
@MichaelL
you realize your entire argument is not addressing white privilege at all right?
Badass Citizen Pulls Over Cop To Issue Him A Warning
Sorry but this is just being an a**hole. This guy was clearly trying to get a rise from the cop who was pretty patient with this douche.
The Daily Show - Bill O'Reilly Interview on White Privilege
At what point will 'white privilege' be considered over? How many years / decades / centuries must pass? How many affirmative action programs / laws must be enacted to consider all races/ women on equal footing?
When sentencing certain individuals in our Canadian courts here, judges here are required to take their ancestry into consideration.
Here in Canada, there's also a big move afoot for governments to apologize for historical injustices -- Japanese, Chinese, Sikhs, natives, Jews, etc.
My problem is that we are looking at history through a modern lens which is crazy. How far back are we going to go? 50 years? 100 years? A millennia? Should Christians today should apologize for the Crusades?
PS. Before somebody accuses me of a hidden agenda, I have no axe to grind. I am part native but don't make a big deal of it. I certainly don't look at a white guy and think, "Hey that guy owes ME something because of what his great-great-great-grandfather did."
I think Bill is right... at some point people have to stop leaning on laws and affirmative action movements as a crutch/excuse and get on with working things out for themselves.
Alaskan Dude Skips Rocks On Frozen Lake
Sorry but I'm confused too.
How did your uncle replicate this sound with a dead duck and a shotgun?
Duck was on the lake and your uncle took a shot at it and the pellets skipped over the ice?
Aww, the analogy wasn't that bad, come on.
