This is mere rhetoric, as usual from a theocratic dictatorship. Iran supports a great deal of the shia militias in Iraq, as well as terrorist groups throughout the mid-east (Hizbollah especially). There is GOOD reason for preventing the Iranian government from obtaining nuclear weapons, and it is not a double-standard. While opposition to Pres Bush can be seen as reasonable, it is absurd to assume that nations opposed to the US are well-intentioned.

@transporter. If we had a Muslim president, then it would probably make the USA appear in a more favorable light... for a short period of time.

When I was in Iraq, the greatest animosity was not so much between us and the Iraqis, but between the Shia and Sunni Muslims. The violence they inflicted on each other was incredibly brutal, and the hatred they had for each other seemed impossible to overcome.

So, if our president were a Shia Muslim, then he may be disliked by the Sunni Muslims and vice versa.

Perhaps the best solution (albeit least likely) is for an agnostic or atheist president, leaving religion out of government and politics completely.

I don't know much about Obama's qualifications, but he rarely blinks in that video. Impressive!

According to the Nielsen ratings, O'Reilly gets 2 to 2.5 mil viewers. This may sound like a lot but it is very, very small for television; he is not even in the top 10 watched shows on cable, and his show is routinely beaten by the Disney channel and wrestling. This is just speculation: perhaps O'Reilly feels threatened by the Daily Show and Colbert Report because they may take the few viewers he has.
