Raw; Plane Flips Over Upon Landing

14460 says...

I don't believe this was due to high wind, first he would have to have been landing in a downwind state which is not smart. Now the tail started to come around to the left so there could have been a strong cross wind, but I doubt that as the left wing is not slightly down on final.

I believe this might have been a student or novice tail wheel pilot, first the bounce as they did not feed in down elevator right before touching, then after the touch they still didn't feed in slight down elevator to unload the wings. Then listening to the wheels it sounds like they got on the brakes rather harshly and they plane started to ground loop and which point they really got on the brakes. No this was not due to wind, this was poor piloting.

Here is footage from the Red Bull Air Race where Kirby Chambliss is upset about losing and not doing S-Turns to see what is in front of him. Even when taxing you still have to fly the airplane first until you shut down the engine. He has to stump the brakes to keep from hitting a Cessna and puts his Edge 540 on her nose.
