I think the comment of "Die in a fire, Bitch" is pretty ironic, especially considering the follow-up of defending the comment in the name of humor.

Take a step back and look at it - advocating killing someone in the name of humor. Knowing full well that it is a joke, the comment should be allowed to pass with a slight chuckle at an off-color comment.
