Actually, I would like to look into it as a side project I can play around with at home, the problem is, I think, that for an android app to offer anything else than a mobile site (which we already have http://m.videosift.com/ ) it has to have direct access to the "core" and I'm not sure the good admins dare give me that.

The full version of the site works pretty well as it is now. (using Android 2.2 Froyo and Dolphin Browser HD on Sprint Evo 4G).
