Woah, funky new YouTube player
I was surprised to see the new YouTube player popping up the 'related' videos and other on-screen options. I didn't see the new player when I was looking at vids on YouTube directly only on the embeds. It'll take a bit to get used to it, and it will seem weird to flip to a 'related' vid while keeping the same VidoeSift title. I wonder if it'll confuse anyone into voting incorrectly if they accidentally change to a 'related' video and think it was the original post.

bl968Be nice if they make it so you have to press a button to see it.
bl968You can turn off the related videos on youtube by adding a &rel=0 to the youtube urls in the embed code.
karaidlCan we implement that into the code permanently? I find them to be more annoying than anything else.

Yes, I think we'll get Siftbot to work his magic on the embeds, and add that string to the URL, hope that doesn't get us in hot water with Youtube.

grspecok so this player is now retroactive on all youbtube videos in the sift. So perhaps a running a query on the db to change all the current youtube vids is in order? Man that thing is annoying.
