V. good interview... had a chuckle when I read about the relationship between quality/popularity and that "lip-synching videos come to mind in particular here". I think it's an area where we may disagree.

BTW, interesting feature of "last 5 discards" -> a video with no title, when discarded, is invisible. Not a big deal, since having no title was part of the reason it got discarded in the first place; just an amusing observation.

Krupo, that was written prior to this week... I suppose I might have picked a different comment following this week. However, such is democracy and who am I to challenge, it might just all be sour grapes about the google idol deal.

Hopefully more of the three thousand members will participate. I noticed the highest voted video has only 361 - no negative votes either.

Good point; I was just razzing you a bit James. It was a very valid point and my initial euphoria for the girls has subsided.

Having said that, the quality of their vids is way better than a bunch of other lip-synchs, including some truly awful stuff that proves your point: the #1 vid on the weekend for Google Vid (Canada, I presume), was this nasty Shakira parody that really didn't deserve to be ranked so high. So in many respects, I agree with you.
