Check your prefs I think you can get rid of most of them from there I know I still get the ones that are on my actual page though. I also like the idea of having an onsite notification.

There are a couple of places...
In your account preferences under the general tab, you can uncheck the 'new comments for your bookmarks'
when you post a new video, there are two check marks at the very bottom about email notifications.

Those are the only ones I've found, maybe there was an option to not get any when we first joined? I don't remember.
