I just want to take this opportunity to publicly thank our resident cat of a thousand faces - schmawy, of course - for inspiring this wild and crazy cheese fest. Compared to some of you I haven't been here that long, but I still think that this may be the most fun we've had here in our little community. It was more than just posting cheesy videos that made it fun, but mainly the funny avatars and silly commentary that made this a party to be remembered.

It truly was a party too. A great, spontaneous, themed costume party. It really built a sense of community in a humorous way. To outsiders who occasionally drop by here they may have thought we collectively lost our marbles when they saw all the cheesy '70s videos hitting the front page, but most sensible people I'm sure would have realized that something fun and silly was afoot. To be honest, I think more than a few of the "cheesy" songs were actually good. I have a feeling many of you feel similarly. I think the term for them is "guilty pleasure."

Unlike KISS, I don't want to party ev-er-y day, so I hope things like this don't happen often, only because then they would lose their magic. But once in a blue moon this would be fun, and the more spontaneous the better.

So give it up for schmawster, for both getting the ball rolling on this cheese meme and creating so many cool avatars for everyone. You da cat!
