Sift almost unusable on ubuntu O_o

I'm trying to sift on firefox/ubuntu/i386, but it's almost unusable.

mostly, it's mad javascript.
· if I click on a video thumb in the list, it redirects me to the video page instead of opening it here
· if I click playlist, it redirects me to a blank page
· each time I load a page with a video, everything goes dark (like when you login) then I get an error about "unresponsive script"
no idea why I get these errors here, while on firefox/*/ppc works.

lol i thought this said "ubuntu almost unusable"

i get occasional "this script has timed out" and the video preview ajax button doesn't show up, then clicking thumbs takes me to whole page. firefox on G4 mac.

i think it's degrading nicely, it's just it shouldn't be degrading?

Do you have the latest Flash? I don't know if Ubuntu comes with the one from Adobe. Old Flash had problems. I have no problems with Debian and IceApe. I do know that I need to enable popup if I want to launch the video site that carries the video (e.g., YouTube).

Uhm I dunno if flash is latest version, but looks like it's a JS problem, since the error I get on every page is "the script is not responding" or something like that...
