Recast Button: Yea or Nay?

Okay, you know how you upvote something.

But later on, you realize that you'd rather But it was totally unintended and you would actually rather "unvote" or possibly downvote the same sift?

Could someone work out a way to void a vote? Or would that be super complicated?

I was thinking maybe an "Unvote" or "Recast" link/button underneath the vote count or something.

That would be a nice feature. =]

Cheers!

I'd vote Nay, if you're voting for something, stick with your guns and think before you vote. Sure I've made voting mistakes before, but that just taught me how to really think and analyze why I want to vote a certain direction instead of just voting absentmindedly because the option is there.

How about a *forcedvote invocation that costs two power points, so you can make someone vote for your video even though you know they'd prefer to downvote. For instance, say I had a anti-Obama video and I know NetRunner would not vote it up; well, I could invoke "*forcedvote=NetRunner" and it would add his upvote for the price of two power points.

Haha. I love mischievous shit like that. If this was my site, for 6 power points you could put a large animated dildo gif on someone's profile page with the flashing text "I eat this" and an arrow pointing to the user's name.

Man that would be great. I can dream can't I?

I support this.

I raised the question of why votes are fixed a while back, I think, but I was thinking less about clumsiness and more about those times when you upvote something and then find out it's fake or out of context or something else that actually changes your opinion of the video.
