I really don't like the automatic resizer for videos.
I'm sick of watching videos like this.

I hope you know how much I really appreciate all the hard work you guys put into this place, but can't it just be a user option?

Wow, that looks like crap. I have to say it doesn't get that bad for me. Why not select the 1024 setting in the footer. It should be minimal resizing then.
I usually blame the uploader, not The Sift, for these atrocities. So many people (read: idiots) don't understand that a copy is always more sloppy. And that YT compresses whatever comes its way, whether or not it needs it.
I have a 22" monitor, so I would really hate having to use a smaller setting. Most of the videos I watch are shitty because of it (screen size). I don't know shit about coding a website, but lucky seemed to whip this up in about 5 minutes when he implemented it, so wouldn't it be fairly easy to just make it a user option?
As much as I love the auto-resizer, I've often wished I could turn it off when submitting certain videos that I know will look like shit when re-sized.
oh, just squint a bit...
move your head away from the monitor...
Squint harder!
and Profit.
I would like native resolutions. I always tell YouTube not to resize at all since I only have a monitor 1280x1024 resolution.
MG, don't post the JPG-compressed-600-times video still and say that's what all videos generally look like---
Oh, wait. They really do look that terrible, huh?
