Global net censorship 'growing'

Another interesting article I found on the BBC today:

Global net censorship 'growing'

And here's a quick rundown of the countries involved in the survey that did censor internet content:

Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Burma/Myanmar, China, Ethiopia, India, Iran, Jordan, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, UAE, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Yemen.

In light of this, its probably safe to say that that 1% of sift visitors going to farhad.videosift.com are not his uzbeki bretheren.

That's it! There is no way in hell I'm moving to Iran now! I don't care about any new condominiums, they have lost my potential business.

I'm gonna go call my real estate agent now...

Farhad2000 says...

Unfortunately too true in my countries case. You will find net censorship under many banners.

But it's always done to do one thing only, to suppress dissenting voices from the populace regarding the goverment.
