First International VideoSift Site, VideoSift Poland

We're very happy to announce the launch of Videosift.pl, our first international site. Our own Ender has stepped up to run VideoSift.pl and we're really happy that a fantastic contributor like Ender is taking VS to Europe.

In the next week or so, we'll enable cross-posting of videos, so that when you submit to videosift.com, if you think the video would be relevant to an international, perhaps non-english speaking audience, you'll be able to submit it to videosift.pl as well. I know that a great portion of the population of Eastern Europe (and probably most videosift.pl users) speak English quite well, but some things just don't translate culturally very well.

The great thing is, with cross-posting working the other way as well, videosift.pl members will be able to share their videos with videosift.com - giving us a more worldly slant.

We're looking to do more international versions, but we only want to collaborate with people already in our community, because we know that they "get" the concept. Drop us a line if you are a native speaker of something besides English, and would like to run your own VideoSift.

Oh and Krupo, we still like you, even though you stole our thunder ;-)

First I want to thank you Dag for your generosity. Without your trust and help this project couldn't have started.
Now officially Poland has own version of VideoSift. We're inviting all Polish speakers to VideoSift.pl.
I hope this project will expand to other countries and it will create worldwide community, so we can all enjoy the best videos on the web.

I like to think of the 'leak' as an act of 'building up a massive level of anticipation and well-deserved hype' in anticipation of the official start. Yeah, that's my story.
