I'm finding the email from collectives to be pretty annoying. I have too many sources of email, and didn't realize that joining a collective (groovy man,groovy) would generate more. Is it possible to turn this off?



Also, question for Dag, what are the intended/unintended consequences of collectives? Isn't it possible that the email, and a 'tribe' of voters will strongly favor that collectives posts above all others? This would reinforce/magnify existing power laws. I'm thinking along the lines of The Corporation..the corporation (or 'collective') serves its own goals. If two collectives get into competition, they could have their members voting their posts onto the front page. It's not all that different from self-promotion in a sense.
