Charter Profile Advertising with Google AdSense
As if the existing benefits for having a charter account weren't enough, newly added is the ability to earn money on your charter profile. This is possible by adding Google AdSense advertisements on your charter profile through the standard profile settings page. Like the rest of your charter profile, the advertisement area is completely customizable and the actual ad itself can be any of the standard text or image ads for content that Google offers.
If you are a charter member and do not yet have a Google AdSense account, it is highly recommended that you sign up for one and start your earning. Note that, as usual, charter members will not be shown these ads, not even your own. So, in order to view your own charter AdSense ad, you'll have to be logged out.
Who knows, you might even earn enough to pay for your charter membership, and then some!

Nice work lucky. I have noticed that profiles seem to come up quite high on Google searches, I'm not sure what the result of this will be, but could be quite good for some charter members.
Hot damn - my profile is on that list. Weird, hilarious, good. Hurray!![](https://videosift.com/vs5/emoticon/smile.gif)
After giving it some thought, I realized that the inter-site-links from every comment must have something to do with that ranking quirk - which works nicely for you, I imagine, if you have thousands of comments like me. Who knew there'd be a benefit from having a big fat (electronic) mouth?
I'm so going to have to try out that feature after getting some sleep.
If there's one thing I've learned - never try to sign-up for money-related things online while you're sleepy.
I've had my Google AdSense account for a while. When I copied the code for an ad and pasted in the AdSense Code box and saved, I got the error message: "AdSense ad code is not valid - copy/paste directly from Google."
Can you dotdude and anyone else getting this message (e.g., Krupo) please PM me the code you're trying to use? We'll get this thing working for everyone with as little delay as possible.
I would like to publicly thank you for fixing this up.

I earned my first Google nickel (gnickel?) today.
That's awesome, Krupo.
If only you had a nickle for every time you said that...
High five!
Oh, and you're welcome.
That phrase now must be preceded by, "my wife, she is dead".

Now where's my second nickle?
