Charter Font Customization?
Would it be at all possible for charters to some how customize their comment or post fonts? Would it just be to much for the Sift to handle or is it something that can be looked into? I'm not saying we should be able to write in wingdings or the old school old English that people can't read, but fonts like comic sans (I call that one,) just to change it up a little bit.

Too many fonts would make the site look like ass. Maybe just for screen names.
You might be right. But so long as we limit the number of different fonts and keep them not crazy it shouldn't be a problem. After all, it would be a privilege reserved for charters, and over all, there aren't that many. And if after a couple weeks it does start to look stupid, then i still think we should at least be able to do it with our screen names.
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
there's already too many fonts on here.
comic sans? i spit on you.
well mink, I can only pick out about 2, maybe 3 different fonts, and besides, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!?! Comic sans OWNZERS you!
Seriously though, maybe just Screen names?
You charters get to pick colors already and are bolded. No need to make us feel even more inferior.
I tend to agree... too many fonts just looks bad, that said.
Comic Sans, wtf mate
Ok then, just names maybe? And whats with this anti comic sans movement. Its been a favorite of mine since the 3rd grade.
yes here ondasift there are 3 fonts used, four if you count monospaced in this here "Submit Comment" box, and it's ugly enough already.
and comic sans is the favourite font of a lot of blind idiots, that's why designers hate it so much. It's ugly and cheap. It's what people do when they get all "arty" and actually change the font away from Times Roman in MS Word. Another reason to hate Microsoft for polluting the universe with bad design.
Look at any big company that pays real money for their design, they only use one font, and it's hardly EVER comic sans, for a very very very good reason. They write BOOKS about exactly how you are allowed to use their one font. This means all their communications are neat and consistent.
This is more about legibility than personal choices of style.
(i could mention the white background on the Sift is very annoying but... maybe later)
*bad idea, *unquality
I'll give you a star back as soon as I can, TRBM.
Mink - you pretty much pegged the exact reason i started using comic sans about 11 years ago. Just always liked it sense.
