I don't think it's as bad as you make it out to be.

I don't have enough insight to know what's right in the conflict. On principle Israel should not even exist, so I suppose I'm with the Palestinians on that one, but the specific conflict now is not something I know enough about to make a proper judgment.

I've spent an entire day with people protesting this insane slaughter and to come onto an internet community that I've come to respect and see people trying to justify it makes me seriously angry.

Then again I shouldn't be surprised, nobody believed in the holocaust until after the war ended and they had to wheel all the military commanders out to tell people "yes, yes all that stuff you heard was true"

Anyway, search around for those posters, there are other threads and posts. If I'm the only one who sees racism then fuck it, if I'm not, then ban them.

Don't think it warrants a ban. Irishman, the situation in the Middle East is terrible, but you can't say that Israel is fully culpable in the mess there. Its response is absurdly disproportional (as always) but it's not genocide.

I don't think it's a stretch to say that there is some emotional and perhaps personal reasons or an agenda behind these sifts, and this emotional investment might be helping along a perception of racism where there was not meant to be one. I'm new to the Sift community, but I don't see how a ban could be justified, or for that matter, who should even be banned.
