CSS Wrangler Needed for Vintage Channel- Incentives Offered
I'm so happy to get to care for Vintage...every edited tag on one of your sifts with a date is an act of love!
Of course I want Vintage to look it's best, but I have no skills in this area. Would one of our talented sifters be willing to help out?
As an incentive/reward for your help, I will offer 3 saves, 3 promotes, automatic upvotes for your queue 3 times (so fill them up!) AND as a BONUS... For the next 3 Vintage sifts you post, I will help promote them by providing trivia for the sifts posted.
Now for the css... Sepia colors would be nice with at least one complimentary contrasting color for pop. Perhaps the font would be best for that. An overall antiquing color is what I was looking for. ANY suggestions are welcome though
just my shopping around for ideas....
I attempted to add this picture today without success ( it told me it was updated successfully ) http://www.flickr.com/photos/luschei/1203720279/
A pocketwatch seemed appropriate...

anything antique looking though...

Please let me know if anyone can help? Thankyou!

Sepia tones and a courier font might look nice.
I see warm and cool colors associated for sepia.. all are nice

Sounds like you have a great design in mind. I think sepia tones will be perfect. (I really love that treeline+shadows photo.)
I fixed your channel avatar. The problem is that the image you were using was too large (not in dimensions, but file size) and the form wasn't reporting the error. I fixed the form and up'd the image limit from 50kb to 100kb just to keep it easier for everyone.
Can't wait to see the new Vintage channel, under new management.
Man, that prize package blows the doors off the recent contest giveaways......swampthing shore is nahhs..
I sho am nahhs...now if someone will take me up on my prize package and whip one up for me!
Come talent!
Thanks for fixing the pic, Lucky..I'll have a look
Wow, no takers yet? OK, I'll play with it for you. What's your feeling on gradients?
[edit] Never mind, I have a better idea....
Lucky says he's already done some CSSification for Vintage, but since I had already started, I put this together: vintage.css. Right-click, save as, upload to your channel, and ctrl-F5 the channel page.
I'm not too concerned about prizes, so if you want to use any parts of this design and/or combine with Lucky's, that's fine with me
