Still, fair is fair, and if he's going to be let back in, which he obviously has, then it's unreasonable to keep him hobbled for eternity. Here goes my soul...

Is his hobbling to protect us from him? Or is it to serve as a mild form of public humiliation to make those of us who are obviously in the minority on the site feel some semblance of partial justice for his return? Not that I think dag's intentions were callous and malicious, obviously, just that if it's any of those two things then I think it's the wrong reason for hobbling.

As for the scarlet P and the hobbited status I thinK they're there for good reason, as being brought back from the dead has it's Zombie like side-effects. I for one am a fan of your "recent comments" thread and hate to think I'm missing anything.
