as do other sifters that have no life, I spend a lot of my worktime online browsing video aggregators and other sites featuring interesting video material that I want to show off on the Sift. unfortunately, sometimes my queue is already filled up right when I've found that top 15 video... or maybe I find something I know others might be interested in and I suddenly feel like sharing, but don't want to post it myself (cause something tagged "anal probe" wouldn't really go with my sift anthology), or start a sift talk about it
so I was thinking about a place on the Sift where anyone could deposit such links to the good stuff, categorise them, maybe even write a short comment (max 140 characters) so others can check them out and use them freely if interested. limitation could be say 3 links per sifter per day (bronze star members and up). much like the lounge link box, except it's available to everyone...

MrConradsWhat about possibly using power points to give you a seventh spot in your queue? An emergency spot if you will for those videos that you just can't go another minute without putting on the sift. Make if worth alot of points though so that, in theory, only the really sweet videos get used for this.
kulpims^that's one way to go although I was consciously trying to avoid the use of powerpoints and all the "benefits" of SiftCrack and be a bit more altruistic for a change

I can understand the motivation for this but I think it would add another layer of complexity to the community that is pretty "rich" in complexity already.
