So... On the Bill-O/Bale richter scale, the magnitude of Shat's hissyfit was about a 0.2? Hell, I bet Nimoy's Spock had a bad day resulting in an off-camera "unprofessional moment" amounting to more than that at least once in his tenure on Trek.

It is really cool that Nimoy actually brought the whole hand salute to the Vulcan lore.

The only reason I play Civ 4 now is to hear Leonard Nimoy say the quotes on every new advance. Sigh

New actors but same characters..maybe in some parellel universe the new actors are old and Nimoy and everyone are young and they are starring in the new film!

I'm not a huge Star Trek fan, but I do love the 70's, Shatner and Nimoy, so I'm going OG on this one.

On another note...,
My dad's dad, (my grandpa - Opa in German) had the name Leonardt. I never met him. He never made it out of Germany/Poland in WW2 but I was named after him. My parents made the decision to change the spelling to a more "Canadian" (phonetic) spelling.
Lenard – this way no one could incorrectly call me “Leo.” The 'O' was silent in the english translation. I shortened it to Len around grade seven after I got tired of being called names like Leonard Nimoy and Lynnerd-Skinnerd, I have often considered having my name changed back to the original spelling of Leonardt.

Nimoy should have been complimented that the man couldn't picture him in such a film. The host plainly held him to higher standard and was surprised that he'd be in such a farse. That's a compliment, not an insult.

It seems like Nimoy thought the guy was laughing at the fact that he'd be in such a movie, not laughing at the title itself (which is what I believe he was laughing at).

There is some sort of rule that booze commercials have to be lame. And I give Nimoy a break for that Oldsmobile commercial since i am pretty sure he was mostly being nice to his daughter.
