Hey, Sorry if I seem frustrated lately about videos not working - It's just mainly that I really am getting frustrated. I'm getting almost half of all videos that are unviewable - either because of Facebook embeds, or region blocked.

I used to be able to come to the SIFT and get all my video views and see lots of new videos and keep up with current world activites etc.
But lately every SNL, Conan, Late Night Tonight, Tonight Show videos, are all region blocked.
The overall quality of videos here have gone down, are we running out of videos?
Anyway, with 50% of the videos not working, and the 30% being junk, it's not leaving much and I find this is becoming a dead site for me. The problem is I really like this site, and I don't want to go elsewhere. I find myself, just surfing youtube now, but getting to the good stuff takes time, and I don't always have that time.

anyway - sorry to rant, just wanted to apologize if I've seemed argumentative as of late. Have a great weekend!!!

My son is a 17 year old jazz player (Trombone) and he's really turned me on to Jazz. More than the casual listener I was before.
He's heading to University of Toronto in a few months with a focus on Jazz. (I need to fly him there for auditions entrance in February).
He performs 2-3 times a week with various combos in town so I get to see a lot of jazz lately.

Thank you - from my entire being.

This year, from a year of effort, I'm in a better place financially, mentally, and in every way possible, looking at life with an improved outlook. It was a year of coping with change and improving on things. I would call this past year a success and a step forward. Which, for me, will make this Christmas that much better. I'll spend Christmas with my son and my daughter.

The best part is, I have more money for Christmas this year than any year previous, but I am spending the least and buying less gifts. The food will be less, but better quality. In my son's words, "You don't need to get me anything this year dad, with all you do for me through the year, every day has been like Christmas!" and from my daughter, I don't need a gift, what I want is to stay up all night with some snacks and play Game of Thrones RISK till the sun comes up".
Feeling blessed this year.

I hope your Christmas is the best ever. And your heart is filled with cheer.

Sorry, my post was in no way, against you personally at all.
You see we didn't used to have these compilations posted, they are mostly recent phenomenon here. I'm seeing more and more people post them, and frankly, I personally feel they do the opposite of what the sift tries to do, which is promote individual videos, and indexes them for easy discussion and accessibility.
Hence the term, "SIFT"
And, sorry, I'm not seeing an editing style which rises above the core bulk of videos and makes them shine in a particular way other than to mass serve them as one big ball of mess.

But, we are mostly a democratic type site with a few All-mighty Rulers that make the final decisions. Please feel free to comment on the Sift Talk I posted regarding this subject. Hopefully more will chime in with their opinions.

Per capita, BC doesn't have enough seats. We are far out weighed by Quebec and Ontario. And unfortunately, they don't care about what our opinions are. We vote differently than them in every way,
