Alien : The Play by North Bergen High School Drama Club

Oh Canada

Fun fact: Ducks were originally called Dicks up until movable type was introduced. A typo was made in printing the dictionary that year and the mistake wasn't discovered until years later. It was never corrected but was accepted to avoid embarrassing the printer.

Is Butter Really Back? What the Science Says

transmorpher says...

My bad, I thought you said 129, but 29 is incredibly low and usually only happens if someone has cancer or some liver disease - you really ought to check if it's been dropping over time.

(unless you're on a medication that's making it that low, this not a good sign I'm sorry to say)

Seriously I'm not being a jerk or anything, please see a doctor if your LDL is that low.

Unless you're using mmol/L instead of mg/dL, but then it would be very very high.

Hopefully you just made a typo!

They were arguing over which foods were healthy and unhealthy around the time I was born. I suspect such arguments will continue after I am dead.

I eat butter. I eat eggs. I eat bacon. I don't even exercise that much.

I'm 45, almost 46.

My HDL as tested a month ago was 46. My LDL was 29. My Triglycerides were 121.

Actually, that was a typo which was overlooked. Originally it was, right to bar arms, but it was too late to correct as the Constitution had already gone press.

When asked about the error the founding fathers could only reply, "Oh, well."

the right to bare arms is already in the constitution.

Vox: Why the rise of the robots won’t mean the end of work

notarobot jokingly says...

One of the most important components to true artificial intelligence is a capacity for self learning. Constant self improvement at a rate far faster than human evolution.

Occasionally making small, calculated errors, like 'typos,' makes advanced AIs appear more human. More trustworthy.

You trust me, don't you, @newtboy.

Perfect, because robots ever cake mistakes.

"Alternative Math" - The confusing times we live in

ChaosEngine says...

Think you might have a typo there, newt.
5-4 = 1
not -1
I even checked it on a calculator

also in plenty of programming languages, "2" + "2" does equal "22"

newtboy said:

All that said, I got paddled in 5th grade for insisting 5-4=-1. My teacher didn't understand negative numbers.

@ChaosEngine

um...is your comment missing some parts that you forgot to type?
or was it a typo?

when did i deny that a chemical attack actually occurred?

my skepticism is in regards to american corporate media slavishly regurgitating the narrative coming out of the white house.

that the assad regime attacked his own people with sarin gas,and a complicit media which has uncritically jumped on board the "assad bad-america good" bullshit train.

or do i REALLY need to point to iraq,or even libya for that matter.

as for the rest of your comment.i see no reason to contradict a negative.i simply never made a claim against those organizations.

you are free to believe what you wish my friend,i will remain skeptical.

and i think history backs my skepticism.

This isn't the first time and the dude blew a .28 after the ride to the station and going through booking. That isn't a typo, literally over 1/4 of the blood in his body was actually alcohol. Death from alcohol poisoning can occur at .37 or higher.

The scary thing is that his tolerance must be massive, because he was still somewhat capable of speech and movement. Usually .25 to .30 level drinkers display general inertia, near total loss of motor functions, little response to stimuli, inability to stand or walk, vomiting, and incontinence.
