Trevor Noah EVISCERATES the Civility Argument

Trump Holds Rally Amid Aftermath of Family Separation Policy

The formation of the organization was announced on March 14, 2013 by Herring Networks, Inc., an independent and family-owned national video programming company owns and operates OAN and sister channel AWE (formerly WealthTV; the initialism being an acronym for "A Wealth of Entertainment"). When the network began in 2013 it had a limited partnership with The Washington Times.[1]

The network launched with the intention of targeting a conservative-leaning audience with OAN President Charles Herring telling CPAC that, “Fox News has done a great job serving the center-right and independent audiences...But those who consider themselves liberal have a half dozen or more choices on TV each day from which to get their news.”[8] Herring also stressed the network's separation of news and opinion content, with straight news reporting throughout the day and limited opinion commentary from evening talk shows, including The Daily Ledger hosted by Graham Ledger and The Tipping Point hosted by Liz Wheeler. Early advertisements for the channel touted the network's lack of commentary and focus on straight news reporting.[9] The channel was formally launched on July 4, 2013.

As of August 2017, One America News Network reached 35 million homes and had nationwide distribution from DirecTV, DirecTV Now, Verizon FiOS TV, AT&T U-verse, Frontier Communications, CenturyLink PRISM TV, and numerous regional video distributors.[10]

Seriously, though, I wanted to come back to this: the American site that hosts the One America News network hosts very few other channels. It sounds tin foil hat to say that it's Russian propaganda, but those channels include a few soccer networks, more propaganda news bullshit, three Sony movie channels and oh! what's this?

Andre The Giant's disease that ended his life.

Ashenkase says...

We both knew who we were looking at when we were about 50 meters away, it was hard to miss the man, he was immense and even more "immenser" to a 10 year old. I think my sister got more of a kick out of Curious George and his green tongue.

We where walking out of the prop plane area and about to cross a checkpoint into the bigger part of the airport to grab our bags. Andre was chatting with the security guards.

Both of us were stand-offish at first but he caught our eye and extended a brief greeting, I had the sense that he and Curious George were about to catch a flight as he was wrapping up his conversation.

Can't forget that voice either, so deep but very calm and kind.

He immediately became my favourite wrestler from then on, even through the Hulk Hogan era.

Ah, you guys went without adults. What did your sister say about him? Did she even know who he was? Export your memories!

When I was 10 I got to meet him very briefly at the Dorval Airport in Montreal. Picture an airport hallway, they are very big to accommodate all the people. Now imagine a man taking up the better part of said hallway. It was awe-inspiring to have shook his hand. Also George the Animal Steel was there and he stuck out his green tongue at my sister and I.

New Rule: Distinction Deniers

Payback says...

There isn't one single statement in this post that I don't support 1000%. Period.

It's just nothing to do with the point I'm making.

Rape is a crime. A violent assault.

Groping is a crime. Less violent, but still assault.

Patting someone on the butt is wrong, but is unlikely to be pathological behaviour like the above. It's condescending. It's disturbing to the person being marginalized. It creates embarrassment mostly when yes, there should be outrage. I just feel it's a lack of knowledge that should be informed, not a power-based assault requiring punishment.

My personal view is, how would I react to a specific action being used on my mom, sister, girlfriend or wife. If I'd kick the guy's ass so hard he'd have to undo his collar to take a shit, I don't do it. Hell, if I found it mildly irksome I'd avoid it too.

Listen to Sam Bee again. There are things to learn. Or read what Chaos said. Wise human being. A gender free label, that. Wise. @00Scud00.

This is the same ole, same ole.

Nothing is perfect. Nobody can control everyone's every utterance. I'm sure that there some Men's Rights folks out there who make you cringe.

As many women have written -- we know the difference between rape and a grope.

Both need to be knocked the hell off. No groping. Get it? Don't grope.

A lot of women don't talk about punishment for the gropers. They talk about KNOCK IT THE HELL OFF.

Genifer the sweet spider

Funny enough, my sister in law had that reaction (without calling for fire, but with screaming, flailing, and backwards skittering crab walk of terror) to my adorable golden retriever puppy years ago. That was something.

People with arachnophobia are funny to me, because guys, that spider was objectively cute af, but nooo, you guys see 8 eyes and you lose your minds! Imagine if you will that someone walking down the street freaked the fuck out because of a puppy on a leash, like, climbing the walls and shouting to kill it with fire. That's what it looks like from an arachnophile's perspective.

How Not to Do Brownies

Buck says...

I ate a chocolate hash/pot ball at a party once and had a similar tripped out experience.

Another time I ate a cookie my sister was testing doses for cannabutter and it just knocked me out during a movie on the couch, woke up refreshed and hungry 4 hrs later. (I've also tried shrooms, ecstasy and acid at various times. )

Now I'm wondering if there was anything else in my choco ball of trippyness? Ah well, I just like a good bong now and again in my old age I guess. Though shrooms are by far the best high, best trip and long therapeutic effects afterwards. I might try that again. Good times!

I'm pretty certain this was not just marijuana. As a person who has ingested over an oz of AAA quality marijuana in a single sitting, I will confidently say there was something else in those brownies to have this effect....unless he has a mental disorder. This is not a normal reaction to excess thc. I expect he unintentionally just got wet (pcp).

What Happens When A Woman Abuses A Man In Public?

newtboy says...

This is why you are part of the problem.
The assumptions you must make to ignore the abuse make your position unsupportable.
And, if that man had defended himself, even if he could do so purely on the defensive, which is an unbelievable theory, he would be assumed to be the aggressor and likely attacked by strangers with similar mindsets to yours.
Not all men are fighters, not all women are non-violent. I have a sister in law that loves to go to bars and beat up men, she's never lost a fight (that she always starts) because if she starts to lose, she pretends to be the victim and her victim gets attacked by strangers. That's total bullshit, and I expect her to end up murdered some day.

AeroMechanical said:

Eh, their overall point is certainly valid, but in the situation with the woman assaulting the man, I would not be greatly concerned for his physical safety (which, granted, is assuming he doesn't have some kind of physical disability, which isn't a great assumption). Being bigger and stronger, he has the option to extricate himself while staying purely on the defensive, whereas a woman being assaulted typically doesn't have that option without assistance from a bystander. I don't think we want to over-equalize everything to the point where we overlook that underlying all male-female interaction is that if it somehow degenerates to violence, the male will most likely ultimately control the outcome
