Contagious Skin Infection? Don't Tell The Kids Parents....

Doggie Thinks, "I am Confuzzled."

Is that kitten in the Matrix or what?

The cat clip is from a website in Japan called "Nikoniko Douga." Basically, as the vid plays people can stream their comments across the screen, which is what you're seeing. I have no idea why it's popular, as most of the comments are utter gibberish or typical YouTube-style comment nonsense.

Upvote for Shiba-ken, IMO the best-est dogs in the whole world. They're clever and cute, although they can be a little fickle personality-wise sometimes. I miss Kenta-kun, the Shiba my host family had when I lived in Japan. He knew a ton of commands, like the typical sit, lay down, roll over, shake hands, and speak as well as stranger commands like "sleep" (he'd close his eyes).

Contagious Skin Infection? Don't Tell The Kids Parents....

LittleRed says...

From Wiki: "Scabies is transmitted readily, often throughout an entire household, by skin-to-skin contact with an infected person (e.g. bed partners, schoolmates, daycare), and thus is sometimes classed as a sexually transmitted disease. Spread by clothing, bedding, or towels is a less significant risk, and is almost impossible."

From MedicineNet.com: "It is hard, if not impossible, to catch scabies by shaking hands, hanging your coat next to someone who has it, or even sharing bedclothes that had mites in them the night before. The physical contact required to contract scabies may, however, be sexual, and sexual contact is the most common form of transmission among sexually active young people."

Hand-holding won't do it. If your kids are engaging in skin-to-skin contact with employees at a clothing store, I'd be worried about that much more than them potentially getting bugs.

Also, most kids are healthier than adults. Kids get more exercise and have been exposed to environmental pathogens for a considerably shorter length of time. Children as a general rule have the healthiest immune systems. And your immune system really has nothing to do with bugs burying themselves in your skin. The body can generally kill off the larvae, but not the actual bugs, but that's not an immune system issue.

Derren Brown plays with Simon Pegg's mind

iaui says...

It really doesn't help that the youtube thumbnail shows Derren and Simon shaking hands in front of a red bmx bike... I got to the end of the video and was sure that I knew it was a red bmx bike all along. Then I began to think that it must have been some crazy vision Derren had implanted when I couldn't find where in the video the bike was shown before he took it out of the package.

Then I remembered the thumbnail. Shouldn't be there if we want viewers to have the same experience as the guest.

"Who Put This Dick On My Back?"

dannym3141 says...

This reminds me of a story Karl Pilkington once told about the man who lost his penis and had a new one grown on his arm. He suggested that "on the back" would be better because it was out of the way, because if it was on your arm, you couldn't ever shake hands with a good looking woman.

If you don't know who Karl Pilkington is, you need to sort your life out!

McCain & Obama have an awkward moment at the Debate

T-man says...

I'm surprised you're still defending this T-man after seeing the other video. I downvoted this because the title implies they did not shake hands at all, when they clearly did. If the title was "McCain & Obama have an awkward moment" it might be different. Right now it says "McCain Not Shaking Obama's Hand at the Debate" which he did, just not in this clip.
In any event, congrats on what will surely be top 15 based on title alone.

OK. Good idea. I should have thought of that earlier.

McCain & Obama have an awkward moment at the Debate

wouldn't it be awkward to shake hands with a guy you've been in the same room with for hours?
this is being blown out of proportion, and all of the obama drones are getting what they want.
this isn't what you should be paying attention to, but i'm sure most of you only tuned in when the messiah was talking anyway.

I agree with previous posts;
Obama was like, "Thanks for stayed fairly civil (lets shake hands that we both understand that this is probably hard with the hired help you've got running your side)"

and McCain was just going, "Uh, hey, you've met my sugar-mamma Cindy before, right? (I'd rather not shake hands more than I need to; I'm trying be angry at you)"

and Obama was like, "oh, hey Cindy, good to see you (I was just being cordial to your husband, but I see that he's really sticking to the advice of those that got Bush in the Whitehouse, and only being civil because its hard for him to be as mean as they want)".

downvote because two douches not shaking each others' hands makes for a boring video that nobody will ever need in the archive of videos. I will never say "remember that video of obama and mccain not shaking hands? I wanna see that again"

I'm back to the middle again, fuck mccain, fuck obama.

ponceleon says...

Sorry, but I have to call media bullshit on this one. I'm extremely anti-McCain/Palin (they are just going to be 8 more years of Bush).

HOWEVER, that video does not smack of a snub to me.

1. McCain pats Barak on the back.
2. There are some half-assed attempts to make contact on both sides, it seems that NEITHER of them are too excited about the prospect of shaking hands.
3. McCain seems to make gestures to "introduce" his wife.

God I am so sick of politics in general. I feel that the media is probably responsible for most of the misunderstandings and false reporting. Now don't get me wrong, I still feel that Chris Rock said it best:

"vote for the guy with one house"

Edit: just as I suspected, there is now a video from slightly earlier showing them hugging and shaking hands. This is just out of context and BS as usual.

Edit 2: am I nuts or did the title of this video change? I could have sworn that the no-handshake was in the title before...
