That why I was saying a button people could click on their own playlist (if they want that playlist upvoted).. and it would queue it in some background cron job that I guess goes through and scrapes a list of videos (and the one username) and then starts the voting thingy. It could just run over a long time doing one person at a time.

The thing about massive automated vote casting is it causes heavy load and takes a reeeeally long time. This is not something end users can run because their request will timeout before it finishes.

I plan to do something for playlists as I did for self-votes, but yes it's much, much more complicated so it'll take a lot more time than I have atm. Also not sure we should do it as some people have playlists of videos they downvoted, for example.

Hey Lucky, I abandoned the election08 channel.

If you get a chance to remove it from the Submit New Video and possibly an ignore the *election08 invocation. I'm sure there are some more videos that fall under the umbrella like Franken race and possibly the inauguration, but people can live with just politics.

I'm guessing it is safest to leave election08 in the list of Channels when you edit a video post or sifttalk post, so submission owners can always manually add or remove from election08. The only forseeable problem is when someone does a nochannel and tries to refile an older historic video.

Maybe there is a way to just make a giant playlist out of election08 channel videos.
