Mary Poppins Returns Official Teaser Trailer

jmd says...

Sage, thanks for the info. It makes sense now. Poppins didn't need a sequel. Alot of what made it special was its effects and charm for the time period. Doing the doppelganger mirror image trick now just made the movie creepy.

Marvel Studios' Ant-Man and the Wasp - Official Trailer

moonsammy says...

Yeah, Ant-Man and clearly this sequel really play fast and loose with physics. Totally enjoyable if you can just look past that, or totally infuriating if you can't.

Pretty sure they follow the law of Conservation of Convenience.

Maybe resizing, but no conservation of mass? Completely bollocks.

Pacific Rim Uprising - Official Trailer

Mordhaus says...

For me, I would have only considered it a true sequel if it was taking place somewhat soon after the original and had the same actors (well, the ones that lived).

It's not a full reboot, but kind of soft one. X number of years in the future, the son of one of the old characters, etc etc. It's kind of a reboot lite.

What makes you say it's a reboot? Looks like it's a sequel to me (main character is even Idris Elba's characters son).

That said, I see where you're coming from. I loved Pacific Rim; I didn't even know they were making a sequel and then I saw this and I was stoked... until I watched it.

And meh... doesn't do it for me. Shame they could get Del Toro back, and the less said about the shitty soundtrack for the trailer the better.

Still gonna watch it though, which is more than I can say about Justice League.

Now I have to go watch the Thor Ragnarok trailer again to cheer myself up.

The 7th Guest: Official Trailer

ant says...

According to my http://zimage.com/~ant/antfarm/about/toys.html history, I got my first CD-ROM drive (2X speed) in 12/1993. I remember buying game CDs for Rebel Assault, Command & Conquer (Tiberian Dawn), etc. It was awesome.

Did anyone play 11th Guest, the sequel? I played that on Computer City(?)'s computer demo PC. It was OK.

Ah...the 7th Guest. Back in those days almost every PC makers are bundling this game and/or Myst to up-sell their CD-ROM drives.

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)

I also played a hell of a lot of Dragon's Lair and its sequel Space Ace. It was a prodigious quarter eater.

On a side note, every week before and after bowling league, i poured a ridiculous amount of money into the arcade game Dragon's Lair.
