Starbucks cup asshole wants to "punish Planned Parenthood"

Starbucks cup asshole wants to "punish Planned Parenthood"

artician says...

I thought he was joking. I was told this dude was being satirical and sarcastic in his last video, and people just took him seriously. Is he not actually a sarcastic youtube funny-man?

EDIT: yeah I'm pretty sure this is a joke.

“Empty” Epson ink cartridges are still 20 percent full

Payback says...

Well, honestly, I have yet to run out of toner, I was just being sarcastic.

I also 100% promote lasers over inkjets. When you run out of toner, the cartridge is pretty much empty. Also, if you're like me and print something once every 2 or 3 blue moons, toner is already dry, and stays completely useful 10x longer than ink.

Don't throw it away. That would be a wiener move. Give it to someone on craigslist for fifty bucks or something. Better than the trash, that is just stupid.

"Some of the guys aren't even remotely smiling" Amy rocks it

Mordhaus says...

Here is the basic situation. If you find her funny because she discusses women's issues in a way you find to be humorous, more power to you.

I personally don't think she is funny. In fact, I would go so far as to say that unless she is performing material that someone else wrote, she is extremely terrible at comedy.

Is it because I am a guy? Maybe. I mean I understood what she was doing. She was basically trying to use sarcastic humor to take pot shots at the magazine because they enforce a lot of stereotypes to their readers. I just think that she went about it in a lowest common denominator sort of way. It was crude and clumsy from my viewpoint.

But in the end, it really doesn't matter. You either find her funny or you don't. I can't throw stones at you if you think she is funny. I like Stephen Wright and Mitch Hedberg while a lot of people think they are terrible. Comedy is something personal to everyone, and you like who you like.

White Party - A Lesson in Cultural Appropriation

GenjiKilpatrick says...

So yeah, thanks for asking "why are white people seemingly MORE willing to be terrible shits to 'others'?"

[Just gonna leave this here: Research has shown that the brain has a very strong racial bias in response to seeing others in pain or suffering.

[Sidenote, this common "there is no white privilege, cause I don't FEEL like there's white privilege" problem is why i tagged @newtboy in a past tirade @lantern53]

But fer fuck sake white dudes, it's STILL racist or sexist.. even if you mean it ironically or sarcastically

Own that shit.
Without gloating or still somewhat mostly denying it.

Just say "Okay, so i'm gonna be extremely racist for a little bit, but i have an objectively valid point based on facts & data"

Seriously, white people can't comprehend and consistently deny how great they have it.. just for being white..

Yet somehow unintentionally & flagrantly gloat about how simple shit should be/is for the rest of us?!

As my hispanic mother would say "I dun bell'eeb"

Black Man Vs. White Man Carrying AR-15 Legally

rancor says...

Well. There's not much editing and it's just the cops that are racist here. And indeed, YouTube is a great repository of evidence to that fact if you need some. Good call (not sarcastic).

Black Man Vs. White Man Carrying AR-15 Legally

ulysses1904 says...

I would share the knee-jerk outrage right on cue if it was the same cop in both situations. How do you know the first cop wouldn't treat the black man the same way, by walking up and talking to him? How do you know the second cop wouldn't pull his gun on the white guy in the first scene? How do you know whether there wasn't a report of a robbery in the vicinity of the 2nd scene? The first video apparently was taken in Oregon, I can’t tell what county is displayed on the police cars in the 2nd video, much less what state they are in. So I must assume there are logistical reasons why the creators of this video would not have been in the position to insert the black man into the original scenario, for it to actually qualify as a “social experiment”. I know these comments wouldn't easily fit on a picket sign, so that must mean I'm for racism (he said sarcastically).

Should gay people be allowed to marry?

Payback says...

Quote:
"1) Gay people put their penises in each other’s mouths.
It’s not just a playground rumour; gay people really do engage in oral sex with each other. Just think about that for a second; a man who sometimes enjoys putting his penis in the mouth of another man, wants the same rights as a man who sometimes enjoys putting his penis in the mouth of a woman. Not on our watch, pal."

It's funny because it points out the hypocrisy in a sarcastic way.

How to Say Hello to a Woman

kceaton1 says...

My father has Asperger's, though he did get caught very late in life, which had it's own issues. He realized that many of the things we had told him (for quite some time) were indeed very true; and what he once thought was "his truth" was really just a fabrication.

This in turn could make him irritated and possibly angered if you told him something he was doing wrong or how he could change (it takes a "third party" to really change things sometimes). He also could be quite cruel in comments and actions during "family talks". Or just how he approached us and acted towards us when he couldn't figure out the source of his issue(s); like having a doctor visit the next day and not realizing he was going through massive panic attacks, for the simple fact that it was a social meeting. But, since then, with a few years gone by, he has changed a lot. He's now much more calm and much nicer, a literal 180...

This guy I doubt has Asperger's, mostly due to the way he sarcastically remarks over all of his social cues and techniques--the whole video. If an Asperger's could do this, I'm not sure you would even bother calling them Asperger's. Anyway, if you still have doubts, click one the YouTube link, and watch some of his other comic videos; it seems to me like he was playing a *role*--to some degree--in this video, as he seems very different in other videos (and if watched more and more of them, perhaps I'll find one where he acts like a new Persona in that as well).

Oh and this too:

Dude seems like he might have Asperger's syndrome to some degree. Not understanding the proper social dance steps is one of the symptoms.

Keeping Russia's sidewalks free of douchy drivers

eoe says...

I deal with this sort of behaviour every day in Toronto, being a cyclist in a city with very minimal cycling infrastructure. Almost being doored, hit, etc.

Yelling, cursing, being sarcastic and mean will never ever change these people's behaviour. Ever. Have you ever gone home after being yelled at someone about something you're sure you're right about and thought, "Huh. That person who called me an asshole really had a good point."

If anything, it pushes someone on the brink of not being an asshole further onto the wrong side.

I find that if I give very genuine comments like, "Please, sir/maam, that sort of behaviour scares the shit out of me. Can you please be more careful?" their responses are literally (anecdotally) 70% apologetic. 30% can't confront their own behaviour when actually talking to a human, so they ignore you.

Don't get me wrong. I've yelled the fuck out of some people in the heat of the moment. When you almost die that can happen.

But when you're composed enough to respond humanly, the question is are you responding to make yourself feel better, or are you actually trying to influence someone else's behaviour?

The Unborn Ultimatum - The Daily Show

kceaton1 says...

I was being, semi-serious and half-sarcastic. I know perfectly well that the state will do nothing but shove it's morally righteous high-horse into law. That seems to be the trend nowadays, especially so with the Tea Party brand of crazy Republican/Religious leadership.

However, I truly do feel sorry for the people they will hurt, all the time, with ridiculous law changes like this. I can only hope that every case is brought up with the ACLU and eventually taken before the Supreme Court, if this law goes into action. As there are also other stupid anti-abortion ideas flying around various states in this country (and some are already in effect).

The mother or the child (or both) get the real short-end of the stick here... The part that is so frustrating is that people that are defending this type of law, like the man interviewed in this video, have no clue why this law will be so damaging in the first place. They are oblivious to the real reality that exists underneath their religious or morally created existence where everything turns out "just fine". But, then, they never have to deal with any of the ramifications that result from their ridiculous laws, ideas, and behavior...

Raw Video: The President Takes a Surprise Walk

dannym3141 says...

I can't believe that guy actually shouted 'Freedom.'

If there's one thing we the west represent right now it is anything but freedom. Freedom to have CCTV's watching us round the clock, freedom to have our computer activity spied on, freedom to be phone and email tapped, freedom to choose between working zero hour work contracts or starvation, freedom, freedom, freedom. Nothing but freedom. Freedom to label as a traitor and ostracise Snowden from all western countries for SHOWING US HOW FREE WE REALLY ARE. But thank god all this freedom we've given up is ensuring our safety from, for example, people being massacred for making satirical comments.

If our whistleblowers aren't free, WE AREN'T FREE.

Was he being sarcastic for fuck's sake? How are people so ignorant of the things that are done in our name?

JLENS Inflation Aberdeen Proving Ground

I thought you were going into the sarcastic for a minute there (as in; "they are obviously much safe now" lol.

This would be pretty useful up high in Afghanistan or on the Syrian border over ISIS; no fuel needs, probably surprisingly hard to shoot down with standard small arms, essentially infinite duration, the ability to have a ground tracking radar mode---Very useful indeed.

Just to state the obvious: given the number of attacks by drones and cruise missiles on the area between Boston and North Carolina over the last decades, I'd say this pair of blimps is welfare for Raytheon and a means to intensify surveillance on people in the area covered by them.
