This passive aggressive coercion is quite distasteful to me. I hate people who do this, pretend the smoke is bothering them when in reality it's the fact that someone is smoking that bothers them....not the smoke. What's hilarious is to see those kinds of people try to publicly shame a cigarette smoker with their fake coughing and death stares, then I'll spark a cigar and they'll not say a word or even tell me it smells great.
I used to ask people who complain about cigarettes (usually a fake health complaint) if they drive...then I would offer to sit in a closet smoking if they sit in their car with a hose from the tailpipe going in the window and see who cracks first. No one ever took me up on the challenge.

You just know some poor shmuck is gonna get hosed by a Judge Dredd wannabe for the crimes of wearing a hoodie and taking the same route home as a woman on her own.

She has the right to complain but he has the right to deny her service. Which he was doing when he repeatedly said "GET OUT OF MY CAR!"
She's one of those, I laugh at you getting mad and keep pushing your buttons type of people. I fucking hate them and hope she went into the ER and got an accidental enema with an over sized hose.
He is working and she doesn't have any right to piss him off and just because she is paying him.
And you SURE AS FUCK do act like that to a customer if they are pissing you off. Some other asshole can deal with them. You just have to deal with the fall out. Besides, if everybody acted nicely to each other what the hell would I watch on the Sift? Oh yeah, cat and Fail videos. Also anything with Bryan Cranston, a pretty lady, a robot, or some awesome music in it. OK, yeah we can all try to get along better, I'll live...

Wow. That's unlucky. I get those all the time, I probably pull down 15-20 nests a year around my house and garage, and I've never been stung by them.....yet. Granted, I do it at night or early in the morning so they're asleep/cold and can't react, and often just use a hose to spray them down from the overhangs, but they have seemed to be far less aggressive than even my bees, and almost domesticated compared to hornets.

PS: Is it possible your hippy neighbor gets upset not because of what you're poisoning, but because you're poisoning, period? Maybe he would be happy if you just squashed them or hosed the nests down? Many people are hyper sensitive to poisons, some for medical reasons, some for philosophical or ecological reasons. I grow a lot of my own produce at home, so I would be pretty upset if my neighbor started spraying poison on the fence line, because it would get all over my crops, and most insect poisons that cause instant death are not designed to wash off or be human safe. Just a thought.

But V.P. for whom? At this point, Clinton has said more disparaging, disrespectful, dismissive things about him than Trump has. In fact, Trump has actually said a few nice things about Bernie (and called him Crazy Bernie). That said...a Trump Sanders ticket might just kill a Trump candidacy, so I could support that...it won't happen though.

What I really hope for at this point is that he'll run as an independent after he gets hosed at the convention, and with Warren as his V.P. Maybe I'm wrong, but it feels to me that she has such credibility with all but staunch Republicans that they might have a chance of winning....and then we would have at least one branch of government not under either party's thumb. I get that it's a pipe dream, but a newt can dream, can't he? It does seem like both parties are doing their best to push the nation into electing a third party into power....or better, no party.

I never broke a crank or pedal, but I did fold a number of rear wheels into tacos doing exactly this back in my riding days. I eventually learned to stop pedaling until I was done leaning hard in a turn, and to keep my inside pedal 'up'. I have also, at slower speeds, recovered from pedal grinding, but at these speeds he was hosed.

Looks like it might be a small jet engine. I'm guessing the backpack might hold the fuel. It looks like there's some sort of external hose connected to his leg (but not touching his leg.) Perhaps a fuel feed pipe?

It actually looks like it would protect me. Looks like I would have to stand in front of the Chlorosulfonic Acid hose to really get in trouble, but if I got splashed, I could probably make it to the wash station without too much skin fizz.

Not me, but I remember I hosed my custom built PC with Norton Utilities v8.0 for DOS' Disk Defrag due to VERIFY=ON bug.

When we can't even count on PBS to be in any way unbiased, we're screwed. As far as I can tell, there is NO unbiased news to be had anywhere today. It's ALL opinion, one sided 'reporting', and pure commercial posing as 'news'. Anyone calling themselves a reporter these days should be ashamed of their profession.
I fear the people wont stand against this. We're too placated by 1/2 truths that fit our narrative, and all too willing to listen to our cheerleaders and ignore the other side's cheerleaders, and not even notice than neither of them are offering facts or specifics.
We're hosed. Incredibly sadly, that means the planet is hosed, as we control so much of the planet's resources.
