Have We Lost the Common Good?
Really? Explain why. It's in there, as clear and codified religious law.
I'll give you a synopsis:
God established the law because of sin:
Galatians 3:19
Why then was the Law given? It was added because of transgressions, until the arrival of the seed to whom the promise referred. It was administered through angels by a mediator
The seed it is talking about is Jesus Christ, referred to by this prophecy in Genesis of the coming of the Messiah:
Genesis 3
14The LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, Cursed are you more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you will go, And dust you will eat All the days of your life; 15And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.
Sin came into the world through the transgression of Adam. Because of sin man was separated from God because God is holy and cannot dwell with sin. Because of sin God gave us the law as Paul referred to. Jesus, the new Adam, satisfied all of the moral requirements of the law by living a perfect life. He reestablished the relationship between God and man:
Romans 5
17For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive an abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ! 18Therefore, just as one trespass brought condemnation for all men, so also one act of righteousness brought justification and life for all men. 19For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous
This is what it means when it says He came to fulfill the law. He brought everything full circle back to the way it was before man first sinned. That is why the law is no longer necessary, because we are made right with God not by obeying the law, but through our faith in Jesus Christ.
When Jesus died on the cross He said "It is finished". It is translated from a greek word "tetelestai", which means paid in full. It something a merchant would stamp on a loan document that was paid up. He said that because He fulfilled the law and paid our sin debt on the cross.
This doesn't mean that there aren't any moral requirements for Christians, but they aren't the same as the ones given to the nation of Israel. We are under a New Covenant and the law of Christ:
Luke 22
19And He took the bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body, given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 20In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is poured out for you.
Galatians 6
Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Christ gave us commands to obey, one of which you mentioned: love your neighbor as yourself. Also, love one another as I have loved you and many others. All of the 10 commandments were reiterated although there is a deeper meaning and interpretation to some of them now. Do not commit adultery now extends to lusting after a women in your heart. Jesus also said that hating someone is murdering them in your heart.
The civil and ceremonial laws of Israel no longer apply exactly because Jesus did fulfill the law.
Treating others like you would have them treat you, the golden rule....what Jesus told you is the most important rule.
When Jesus taught us to treat others as we would have them treat us, it has force because He is morally perfect. We are morally imperfect. We tell people to do things we don't do, and tell people not to do things we do do. Can you name a single human being on whose shoulders we could place objective morals? If you can't then you can see the problem, I hope

Chrematistics: the science of wealth. From the Greek chremata, wealth. -John Ridpath's home reference library, 1898
In short-Aristotle established a difference between economics and chrematistics that would be foundational in medieval thought.[1] For Aristotle, the accumulation of money itself is an unnatural activity that dehumanizes those who practice it. Trade Exchanges, money for goods, and usury creates money from money, but do not produce useful goods.

I imagine Rand was not a believer in chrematistics.
Dear Satan
Jesus did make claims to divinity. Here are a few examples;
John 8:58
Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am
In this scripture He claims to pre-exist Abraham and the wording He is using in the greek means basically that He had always existed, that He was eternal. Only God is eternal.
Here is another scripture where He is making Himself equal with God:
John 5:16-18
For this reason the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because He was doing these things on the Sabbath. 17But He answered them, “My Father is working until now, and I Myself am working.”
18For this reason therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God.
In this scripture He is claiming to be God:
John 10:27-33
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than allc ; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30I and the Father are one.”
31Again his Jewish opponents picked up stones to stone him, 32but Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?”
33“We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.”
There's a great reason to believe in fsm, it's fun!
Not being a biblical scholar, I may be wrong, but I was under the impression they Jesus himself never claimed divinity, that came from his apostles, no?

Why Do People Still Think The Earth Is Flat?
One question I've never heard answered is why the spherical earth conspiracy even exists. What possible purpose could such a conspiracy even serve. Keep in mind that the conspiracy had to have started at least with the ancient greeks and have continued on for over 2000 years involving millions of people.

Have I been Trumped by Google? (Sift Talk Post)
@dag @lucky760 Thanks to my nephew [who isn't even a PC guy] I now know I'm cookin' with Windows 10 Version 1607 (OS Build 14393.953) and Chrome Version 57.0.2987.133

Hopefully this info will help in resolving whatever is going on.
I'm not proficient enough [nor do I have the inclination to stress myself out right now] to understand what hoops to jump through with regards to Chrome nor do I really want to download another browser for one site. But thank you for your suggestions mxxcon [even if they're greek to me]
@Mordhaus and @PlayhousePals what version of Chrome and OS are you running?
Have you tried submitting from incognito mode or Chrome's guest profile?
When you open Chrome's dev console, what errors/messages do you see there?
Why Love Is Never As Nice As It Should Be
Love is an action word; it is something that you do. People today think love is a feeling but what happens when the feeling runs out?
"I'm not in love with you anymore" = I don't feel love for you anymore
This is an inferior type of love which is based on feelings and physical desire. In greek it is called Eros.
There is another type of love called Agape love, which is unconditional love. It means I love you whether I feel it or not, and regardless of whether you return it to me or not.
Eros is selfish love, and Agape is unconditional love. Many marriages have ended because they were based on Eros, and not Agape love.
Godless – The Truth Beyond Belief
That's all just plain silly when looked at rationally. It all (and I do mean ALL) seems like idiotic rationalization to gloss over all the physical, temporal, and theological impossibilities...if it makes no sense....God....if it's totally irrational....God.....if it's contradictory.....God. for rational people, that is no answer at all, it's what those that have no answer say to pretend they know something they clearly don't.
Again, the infinite room fallacy (a fallacy because infinite rooms is an impossibility) is about space, not time. Having room in hell doesn't make it possible to spend eternity X untold billions in one long weekend.
Besides, how does visiting a place from Greek mythology work for a religion that denies the validity of Greek religion?
So many contradictions and impossibilities, the explanation "because God can do it" falls pretty damn flat. He should have been able to come up with MUCH better if he's so all powerful. You would think the all important truth would be inconcealable and there would be no question about it's validity, only those who willingly choose to not go along. Pretty damn shitty of him to make the most, only important truth in life so easily dismissed, obfuscated, denied, contradicted, etc. So thoroughly that it's not possible to know and just must be believed. He sucks.
Yes, Jesus is 1/2 human, but not the half by which our sin nature is passed down. The sin nature is inherited from the father and not the mother.
God is eternal. He is uncreated, having no beginning or end. In other words, He isn't subject to time, time is subject to Him because He created it. It's impossible to really wrap our minds around that, being finite creatures who are subject to time. It should then therefore go without saying that how an eternal being not subject to time deals with time is beyond our understanding.
Whether we are able to fully comprehend it or not, the important issue is that to God, Jesus' sacrificial death was justice for all sin. That is good news for us! That means that we can be forgiven and receive eternal life.
I am also not sure why you are saying the infinite room idea is a fallacy; do you think this is a religious concept? This is a paradox postulated by mathematicians, not theologians:
"Hilbert's paradox is a veridical paradox: it leads to a counter-intuitive result that is provably true. The statements "there is a guest to every room" and "no more guests can be accommodated" are not equivalent when there are infinitely many rooms."
It is a logically valid idea according to mathematicians.
