Carl Douglas - Kung Fu Fighting -1974
This song is all kinds of awesome. But if this song is released today, would people accuse it of cultural appropriations and/or "inauthenticity"?
Man the 70s, those are the good times indeed!
You're a cold, dead and unfeeling person if you don't want to spring up from the couch and do some air kicks & punches whenever this song come on. And thought of Bruce Lee. I sure did!
*quality fun old school 70's song. I would get so excited as a kid when this would come on the radio. Good times.

“The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting.”
― Sun Tzu, The Art of War
And to reiterate what WOPR said, I think it was Master Po who said "The best way to dodge a punch, is to not be there."...or maybe it was Bruce Lee
"A strange game. The only winning move is not to play." - War Games
"Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent" - Isaac Asimov
The winner of a fight does not make him the best man.
Celebrities Freaking Out Over Meeting Other Celebrities
I would sure freak out if I met Bruce Lee in person today, rightly so considering he's been dead for 45 years.
Not me. Bruce Lee kicked his pansy ass.
Celebrities Freaking Out Over Meeting Other Celebrities
Not me. Bruce Lee kicked his pansy ass.
So yes... the only person I'd freak out for is Chuck Norris.

Honest Trailers - John Wick
Couldn't agree more! The writer is pretty fresh and the director(s) are stunt guys. Beyond that, I don't know much about the production, but both John Wick and John Wick 2 are precise and well choreographed gunfu with elements of the Matrix/Indigo Prophecy, Hitman, Assassin's Creed, Bruce Lee movies, and on and on. Star power, as well.
I have Jack Reacher (same writer as Usual Suspects), John Wick, Collateral (Michael Mann), and Jason Bourne in the same stack.
In 2002, when I was studying film I had a chance to listen to Doug Liman, the director of The Bourne Identity talk about the making of the film. He hadn't really done much at the time, but now he's in the thick of these highly stylized, star powered, accurate (bullet count, stunts, etc.) Action flicks.
I am a fan of well-made films, and both John Wick and Jack Reacher (released around the same time, similar premise) seemed like really solid work. I was actually excited they both got sequels.

Drunken Fighting - Jackie Chan
I love this movie. Can you imagine the uproar if someone in the west tried to make a movie where the hero gets his "power" from being drunk?
And in case anyone didn't realise that Jackie Chan is awesome... required watching:

Fear Not, Karate Cops Are Here
Aren't nunchucks pretend weapons for kung-fu movies? They look cool when Bruce Lee is twirling them around, but not actually all that useful in a real fight?
Unless, of course, you're just using them as a garotte which is what the police will do.

Little Bruce Lee
I could be wrong but I think this is a fake. I read in a news article that the real Bruce Lee died in an accident a while ago, so this is probably an imposter.
Iron Body Technique
someone should remind him how Bruce Lee died.
A New Level Of Archery Skills
Interesting that he chose that analogy.
If someone said to me he's the 'Bruce Lee playing ping pong of archery', I would take it to mean it's all faked. (Bruce Lee never played ping pong with nunchaku, it's a well known fake).
I asked a friend of mine about it. He has represented his country in archery, so I trust his opinion on it.
Paraphrased:
@eric3579 I never had an issue with all the details of what he is doing -- couldn't care less about bow strength and armor. I was more curious if he is ACTUALLY DOING IT, or if this was some sort of CGI.
....
"This guy is the Clint Eastwood of archery," says Tim Wells, professional bow hunter and host of the TV show, Relentless Pursuit. "Or if I was talking to someone who had never shot a bow and arrow, I'd say he is the 'Bruce Lee playing ping pong of archery.' We have all played ping-pong and none of us can play with nun chucks — that's what this guy's skillset with a bow is comparable to. He's a badass."

@eric3579 I never had an issue with all the details of what he is doing -- couldn't care less about bow strength and armor. I was more curious if he is ACTUALLY DOING IT, or if this was some sort of CGI.
I did find this one article about him, posted Jan 2015, with these two quotes that spoke to my issues:
"This guy is the Clint Eastwood of archery," says Tim Wells, professional bow hunter and host of the TV show, Relentless Pursuit. "Or if I was talking to someone who had never shot a bow and arrow, I'd say he is the 'Bruce Lee playing ping pong of archery.' We have all played ping-pong and none of us can play with nun chucks — that's what this guy's skillset with a bow is comparable to. He's a badass."
Experts agree that the skills demonstrated in the video are unbelievable, but also completely real. "His skillset is tremendous," says Byron Ferguson, owner of the Bare Bow Archery School and star archer on the History Channel's show, Extreme Marksmen. "These shots are legitimate, despite some video editing. His speed is almost unbelievable."

I can't tell if they have met this guy or not, or if they, too, are just looking at the videos. That other "world record"? All I can find is more videos and nothing from Guinness or anyone else.
So at present, I am going to stay neutral as to whether this guy is for reals or not.
Cobain, Lennon and Tupac 'Star' in Dutch Beer Ad
I knew it. Bruce Lee wasn't dead. He secretly put himself into early retirement.
