My local TV news was all talking about this trailer as Toronto is prominently featured as the background location in the movie. It's refreshing to see a Hollywood/Disney movie featured places outside of the USA and most other cliche tourist destinations like London/Paris/Rome/Hong Kong/Toyko, etc...

That cop's alternative being what, letting the rampaging mob have their way with the legislators he was duty-bound to protect? It's not like the officer was just wandering around and randomly shot her - she was at the front of a violent mob that had just broken through a barrier. By shooting her, he kept the mob at bay for a bit longer, which may very well have saved lives. When people on this site decry police violence, it tends to be in a context where that violence was unnecessary and excessive for the situation. The fact that more of the insurrectionists weren't shot actually illustrates incredible restraint and professionalism, on the part of the Capitol police.

I'd like to add: fucking stop with the "unarmed" bullshit. They were a RAMPAGING MOB. They were chanting their wish to kill the Vice President, who they believed to be in the building. Do you really believe a group of people with only bludgeoning weapons are incapable of causing massive amounts of harm? They had violently broken into one of the core seats of power in the US, in a direct effort to stop the democratic process and what has in *every other instance* been a peaceful transition of power.

Seriously - if you support the 1/6/2021 insurrection, you support an attempted fascistic overthrow of the US government. It isn't up for debate, that's what happened on that day. It wasn't a fucking protest, they weren't a goddamned tourist group. They smashed their way into the Capitol, at the behest of a man seemingly incapable of admitting defeat (gracefully or otherwise), with the goal of keeping him in power against the will of the voters of this country. That shit is not at all acceptable, and I hope the lot of them serve sufficient time in prison to act as a warning to all other fascists.

I went there a few years back, (the original Hotel California, not the Satanic church in SF that the song is really about) in Todos Santos, they had a sculpture in front that was two bent pieces of metal that, when viewed from the right spot across the street, made a giant red cock and balls!

Beyond that, it's just a tourist trap with few tourists.

Eerie (and nostalgic for me, visiting all my favourite places). Had a similar trip through Český Krumlov a couple of months ago, not a tourist soul in sight. Ethereal solitude indeed. Very much a perfect one day trip to London minus a pub.

Over in Vietnam and Thailand they automatically blame any accident involving a tourist driving on the road against the tourist. It's insane.

IMHO in this genre of video, where he is basically on a tourist trip showing ruins of an old testing facility, its all about the nice pictures and feeling of adventure. The miss on the name of the rocket that was tested hardly even matters to me, the average consumer. Obviously it matters to him and his team, and potentially lowers trustworthiness, so good on him for correcting himself.

If this was a series of documentaries on old testing sites it would be a showstopper, obviously.

1) Do you see protesters practicing social distancing? Hint, they aren't, because the virus is a liberal hoax to bring down Trump. So moronic, but fine as long as they're only infecting each other. Open businesses and they'll restart the outbreaks and restart the clock on quarantine, wasting all the gains of the last 6 weeks.

2) open or not you'll have no tourists. Tourism is on hold for the moment, and large gatherings too. Casinos would have to rebuild themselves first, they are designed to make social distancing impossible. If no tourists guarantees failure, they Damn well better prepare for failure, because there are no tourists.

3) if they go to work and force a second, longer, more strict quarantine, all that happens anyway plus a few tens of thousands more dead.

4) agreed, and the black and white choice made solely on the basis of improving the economy must ignore the obvious health risks that themselves threaten the economy further. Opening early sets us back months, back to the start of stay at home orders, back to before the economic crash and massive losses, but without first restoring the market or economy. Do you think the economy can handle another crash? Because that's what you'll get if Trump and Trumpsters open before the minimal guidelines have been met....two weeks of declining infections and deaths. If you open, even with limited capacity, social distancing you may stay afloat.

If you don't open you will have ZERO tourist. That guarantees failure of business, city, county and the state.



If the employees stay home they will run out of $, go broke, loose the house and car and the job that let them keep it.

Seeing thing as a black and white choice is not allays a good thing. And this is not one of them.
