Woman Gets Revenge On Her Man

moonsammy says...

Yeah. If it was that painful / traumatic he would just leave the room. Totally playing it for views.

Revenge for what?
He sure seems complicit here.
There’s no way he feels nothing until they’re done, then is instantly totally awake. His reactions are so over the top…And it didn’t take all that much hair.

Sorry, but it looks staged to me, and badly acted.

Thank you 81 million, thank you!

anti American,??? Think again.

Democrat party are the party of the Anti American.
I dont see the commie flag at RNC rallies. That your side.

What administration...
is letting tens of thousands of illegals across the boarder.
ended our energy independence
is doing ZERO to curb inflation, ( actually making it worse will more spending)
Doing too little to unload all those ships off our coasts.

Our government is spending money we don't have on shit we don't need.

These problems are from the current administration.
Their policies are anti American.

And your stupid ass voted for it.
You paying 20$ more for a tank of gas. That hurts millions of people.

I use a tank a week - but its a company car so I am blessed.
I do however feeling the pain at the stores.

With all of Biden administrations failures you think mid turns will be be a total ass kicking of Democrats?

Says the anti American, anti democracy liar and clown. No answer to being called out on the ridiculously edited nonsense video? Lol. There’s a joke here, buddy, but it’s in your mirror. Everyone can see it, even you.

Such a racist sexist infantile cop out. What right wing delusion are you rambling about? She’s a black woman, so couldn’t possibly earn her position? Who did she sleep with? Biden? All Democratic voters? You don’t have a clue. Sounds about your speed….but you think insanity like 1% growth per year is more than 5.7% growth per year, and Putin would never invade Ukraine with Trump as president even though he did.

So sad, there are legitimate gripes to have about her past, but all you can come up with is babbling idiotic fantasy. Stop proving yourself a moron, Bob. Let us just think it for a while.

BTW, Bob…you’re using urinals wrong.

Russian Sanctions and Global Economic Risk

vil says...

We are not hoping Putin will reverse his course, we are hoping (rich elite and military) Russians will decide they would be better offf without war and threatening to destroy the world.

Switching of SWIFT is not a total ban on transactions but is very annoying for russians.

Dependency of Europe on Russian oil and gas is a direct security danger, they do use it to extort (and bribe - see Mr. Schroeder) the west.

China gets paid mostly in dollars, it would be a pain for China to use anything else to buy oil and gas. But nothing is ever certain forever.

Russia will need dollars in any form, even if they have to be black market dolars so they will gladly take Chinese payments in dollars. Also their stock market and currency is... f***ed.

The dangers of a Russian energy superpower

newtboy says...

I disagree. Timing matters. Had the pipeline been halted in 2019, it may well have sparked this invasion years earlier when the US couldn’t be counted on to give the aid promised or oppose Putin at all, and when there was no unity in the UN or NATO.

By not halting the pipeline then, two years ago +, Germany let them invest hundreds of millions more in a project that’s now cancelled, causing far more pain for Russia.
Also, it allowed them to use the project as both carrot and stick….true that failed to stop Russia, but was a tool used to try to cajole them out of invasion, and is now a stick whacking their disabled economy.

Of course, it’s all supposition about what may have happened….but moderately informed supposition.

vil said:

Trump was right about the pipeline. There.

Except Trump being right about something has zero information value because he was wrong about so many things. Cherry picking and whataboutism only gets you so far.

Even Germany is now somewhat reluctantly coming around.

How exactly would Trump stop Putin I wonder? Any ideas beyond wild guesses?

There is no excuse for what is happening in the Ukraine now, there is no propaganda that can put this on the shoulders of anyone but Putin.

The danger in this situation is powerful people in the west are being friendly to rich russians and apologetic about the Russian regime. Business deals are less important than national safety. Being best buddy with Putin does not give Trump the power to stop him.

Why I’m ALL-IN On Tesla Stock

newtboy says...

I certainly hope so, 0-.25% doesn’t cover administrative costs for basically free loans.
If they go slow, it shouldn’t stall….cool off a bit, sure. That’s acceptable.

Personally, I think it all became funny money when Nixon dropped the gold standard, and I would support returning to it, painful as it would be. At least the dollar would have some permanent fairly predictable value. (And the fed would be forced to stop printing more money to pay government debts, which causes inflation).

Why I’m ALL-IN On Tesla Stock

surfingyt says...

IMO they will raise rates. the economy will stall. they will be forced to increase purchases of equities and reduce rates (again). the fed will not let another 2008 happen however they will make the crash that much harder. the house of cards has been built for a long time over many administrations and its waay past the point of any attempt at recovery. delaying the pain will make the pain even worse but when it comes crashing down USD will be gone forever and alternatives (like metals and yes BTC) will reign. you will have time though as petrodollar is king at this point other nations will fall before us. make your time.

Watch The Tesla Plaid Go 0-160 MPH

For new cars, probably correct, but old combustion engines aren’t just going to dissolve away. I have two over 50 years old in my driveway. They can last a long time.
Also, India and China don’t seem very interested in skipping their turn at combustion engines (sad), so tack 50+- years on before the entire world even really wants to switch over.

I don’t deny average electric vehicles should soon outperform average normal gas engines (let’s ignore exotics as exotics). My point is switching technology across the board is a slow, painful, expensive process that won’t likely happen in 5, 10, or even 20 years IMO….and electric motors won’t ever totally replace combustion for all applications as some suggest.

Kyle Rittenhouse Trial Week 1 Summary

StukaFox says...

I know for a fact -- through painful personal experience -- that at least in California, you can't go "looking for trouble". If this law extends to other states, the "self defense" argument is like arguing Kosher ham.

I can tell the story of how I know about the California law, otherwise I'll stop Face Booking here.

Homelessness: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO)

newtboy says...

Of course that goes for drinkers too, right?! Alcohol is one of the most destructive drugs of choice.

I’ve smoked an oz of marijuana a week for over 38 years, I’ve never been homeless, I own my home outright and have zero debt. Think again.

True psychological (not physical) drug addiction is a recognized disease caused by the structure of your brain, not a choice.
Physical addiction is far from a choice. Many if not most opioid addicts started with legitimate pain medications and became physically addicted, then turned to illicit drugs when their prescription ran out to avoid withdrawals.

Wrong on all counts, TT (Bob). Being wrong 99.99% of the time is a choice. So is being a douche.

I also had some abdomen pain, but not as much as I do now. It's hard to say if the stomach expanding or the loss of appetite was the first symptoms. I went to my gastro doc first thinking it might be something celiac related, but when it kept getting worse I went to a doctor at austin regional clinic. He said it sounded like a gallbladder issue and sent me to the sonogram. Now I have to go back to the gastro doc on the 28th, which I was lucky to get thanks to how covid is hitting all the docs, and see if we can drain the fluid.

I'm hoping it doesn't start hurting to the point where I have to go to the emergency room and get it drained before then. It's just crazy, my mom died in 2019 from liver/kidney failure but she was in her 60's with many bad habits. I'm only 48 and other than being overweight I don't, I quit smoking many years ago and I almost never drink, but here I am. Now I have to wonder if having covid before I could get vaccinated accelerated the failure.

Anyway, I'll post when I know more. Just really down atm.

newtboy said:

Holy sheep shit man! So sorry to hear it.
Was the stomach expansion the only symptom? Are the gallstones related or just an extra fuck you from the universe?
Lots of questions....but for later.

Good luck on the drain and function tests. Do what your Dr tells you, don't fuck around with liver problems.

Glad to hear your wife is almost well....but so sorry your roles of patient/caregiver are reversing.

Removal of Asian giant hornet 'murder hornet' nest

StukaFox says...

Right after Jackass came out, a couple of friends-of-a-friend decided to stage their own version of the movie -- with a hornet's nest. They found the thing hanging from a tree at the edge of a field and it was not remotely on the small size. Also, this was in late August and the queen had already flown away, leaving the drones to slowly starve to death. Thus, the enormous number of stripey-stripey sting-stings were already good 'n' pissed-off.

They were about to get moreso.

So chowderhead A and chowderhead B have a brilliant plan: they're going to shoot this enormous ball full of astoundingly-irate murderous insects with a shotgun while they're filming it. If you're hearing banjos playing and luke-warm cheap beers being cracked open, you're about in the right frame of mind.

Places, everybody!

The stage is set: on one end, at what's decided to be "minimum safe distance", are our erstwhile David Attenborough/Jonny Knoxville knock-offs. At a decidedly NOT minimum safe distance away is the arthropod version of the T'sar Bomba. All we're missing now is a Mossberg, enough idiocy to think this can end any way but badly, and a camera. With far too much alacrity for what's about to happen, all three are provided.

Aaaaaand, ACTION!

* BOOOM! *

At first, surprisingly, nothing happens. This period of stasis lasts roughly a picosecond. Then, unsurprisingly, things start to happen and they happen far more quickly than the Chuckle Brothers planned on. This plays out in three acts:

Act 1: "Hey, uh, why is the nest still there?"
Act 2: "Uh-oh..."
Act 3: "FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!"

Hubris takes many forms, and schadenfreude takes twice as many, but both combined were statistically zero compared to the number of hornets involved in this fiasco. Had the two Mensa escapees who irked said hornets thought this thing through -- stop laughing -- perhaps they would have arrived at the conclusion that 1. a shotgun slug is not the preferred load-out when dealing with a ball made out of wasp puke and 2. being the only two things visible within a 20 mile radius of the ball made out of wasp puke pretty much negates the mystery of who the hornets are going to sting the ever-loving fuck out of.

With their plans in ruins and the nest not, our heroes decide to quit the field. This is the first smart thing they've done since looking at that big ball of wasps and deciding it was redolent with untapped hilarity. The hornets are having none of this white flag nonsense, however, and they decide to quit screwing around and really inflict some pain. It's a quarter mile back to the car and the hornets are going to make them pay for every inch of it.

The final score:
Hornet losses: meh, they were all going to die in a few weeks anyway.
The chucklenuts: 23 stings, a dropped shotgun, and three minutes of footage that they took in the pre-YouTube era and thus is lost to time.

Moral:
Hornets are not toys.
