Who is Fi Duong, Bob?

I'll tell you, he's one of the many Trumpsters who was stupid enough to actually post his plans to attack the capitol for Trump dressed as an Antifa member (not a real thing, Antifa isn't an organization with members) before the attack on democracy, then followed through, dressed in all black with a white plastic/ceramic face mask (but not Guy Fawkes) to attack American democracy.
One of dozens of right wing false flag fakers caught by the FBI so far....but not a single Antifa or blm activist arrested for Jan 6.
He admitted to undercover agents that a month after the failed coup he returned to the capitol to perform "surveillance efforts" in preparation for another attempted coup for Trump.

Another of your carefully planned false flag exercises has fallen apart because your ilk are too dumb to not brag about committing them, in writing....just like the proud boys and boogaloo boys from last summer caught committing murders and trying to blame them on BLM, insanely carrying their manifesto that outlined that plan.

@JiggaJonson, you're not very good at trolling. But I like that you're putting in the effort. A solid C+.

Honestly though, I believe there's a flaw in your premise. Whether or not someone engages in every form of civil disobedience is irrelevant to their convictions or dedication to a movement. Take Alan Moore for instance. Outspoken Anarchist. Believed government should be nothing more than an administrative role at best. Big supporters of the Occupy movement. The man behind the Guy Fawkes mask. Yet wrote some of his best work for major corporations. And pays taxes.

Margaret Thatcher - (1925 - 2013)

On the Guy Fawkes night following her deperature from number10 I remember my family burnt an effigy of Thatcher in Fawkes stead, chanting "Burn the Witch" and singing "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead." Certainly one of my stranger childhood memories.

Funnily enough: http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/news/ding-dong-the-witch-is-dead-could-reach-number-one-following-margaret-thatchers-death-85660

Why CISPA Must Be Stopped

Reefie says...

>> ^Enzoblue:
How many of these can we fight? They'll keep coming until some loosely worded, (exploitable) whatever gets passed - or they'll attach a rider on some other christmas tree bill and go under our noses. I don't see 'getting the word out' as being effective in the long hall.

You're right, though we shouldn't be discouraged. Having said that, while we're constantly fighting off legislation (not just in the USA, but worldwide) such as SOPA, ACTA, and CISPA you just know they're going to use the fact we're distracted to get other legislation in place.

It's weird that as a teenager I believed fully in the power of our vote and couldn't possibly comprehend why Guy Fawkes attempted to blow up parliament in the UK. Now I understand fully although I hasten to add I'm not encouraging it. Simply understand where Guy Fawkes was coming from.

Jim Rogers: GOP Presidential favorites clueless on economy

GenjiKilpatrick says...

Right, so..

1.) I never said Ron Paul is some panacea for the world's troubles.

2.) I even admitted that Paul is more or less a racist homophobic religious cuke.

3.) I don't think Paul or any single person should have that much power to begin with.

The fact that we're still stuck with a two-party system in which we vote for one president "in charge of everything"..

..as opposed to 50 governors and local communities making their own decisions for their own goddamn selves is mind-numbing.

Point is:
The immediate effects and sincere discussions that would take place in the wake of such a radical candidate becoming president are the best thing that could happen for the American political process at this conjunction in our history.

For fuck's sake, YOUR AVATAR & GALAXY STAR ARE A GUY FAWKES MASK! You should support a grassroots underdog upheaval like the one Paul represents more than anyone on this site.

Ron Paul represents the chance to reclaim our Foreign Policy from Warmongers; our Economics from Speculators; our Health, Safety, Labor, and Ideas from Robber Barons.

But then again, he did stereotype blacks as fleet-footed so.. I guess you make a good counter-point.

Hah. No. Of course not.

I'd liked to remain as status quo-y and entrenched in my beliefs as the Conservative Republicans I like to gripe about.

But it's okay cause I wear & cheer lead for the blue team while I do so.

Girl transforms herself into (Anonymous) (Guy Fawkes)

Does Anonymous not realise that Guy Fawkes's goal was to install a Catholic theocracy? Kind of at odds with what they want, right?

It's not about what he was or what he tried to do, it's about the idea he represents has turned into. He's turned into an icon of anonimity and unity under that pretense.

Che Guevara, who is now considered an anti-imperialistic figure, was at one point attempting to lead a Cuban-led revolution in the African Congo.

How about when American children used to perform the Bellamy Salute during the Pledge of Allegiance?

Even the swastika had many different benevolent meanings before it was used as a symbol for an oppressive regime.

Symbols change over time and are used by people to unite under an idea, whether it be a positive or negative one. I believe the current use of the Guy Fawkes mask and what it stands for is positive.

Still, I wish people who wish to protest something wouldn't pick a pop-culture reference to represent themselves. They should represent who they are, not some icon the media made popular. It really degrades the whole message they want to spread.

They are legion... ; )

Heheh, maybe if everyone dressed up like Natalie Portman.

When the people who are the intended recipients of the protesters message see this though, they probably can't take it seriously. "Oh look, the masses are decorating themselves like a film character". The superficiality of its origins comes forward more readily than the intended symbolic attachment behind it. It would be more effective to find some emotional, poignant symbolism that represents, and is unique to, the movement and message at large.

Well it's naive of them not to consider the full implications of their chosen symbol. Plus, they could have chosen a better movie.>> ^alien_concept:

But they're taking the mask from the movie V for Vendetta, which is definitely not at odds with what they want
